  • Best Level Ever:
    • The final mission before the final battle. After a whole game's worth of buildup, you're treated to a full on battle between two massive fleets, and it is absolutely epic in every way.
      • Especially as it`s really what the end of Mass Effect 3 should have been, as all the allies Nara made along the way show up to fight alongside her.
  • Demonic Spiders:
    • Charge Vultures can be incredibly frustrating to deal with on higher difficulty settings. Their charged beam attack is what makes them so deadly; it's a hitscan attack that can only be avoided if you roll during a very narrow window or if you get behind the Vulture before it can fire (or find some cover). The problem is, the attack has very long range and, on Extreme difficulty, gives you only a few milliseconds to dodge it successfully, or you'll eat a huge amount of damage. Not helping things is how the Vultures are quite tough and can project shields around themselves, and even if you break the shields with lasers they come back fairly quickly. The shields don't cover the Vulture from above or below, but the Vulture might just turn toward you if you try to engage them from such an angle, and the shields will neuter your missiles (which are terribly inefficient against shields). It's only once you get the Rite of the Storm that Vultures become far more manageable, but until then they are an absolute menace.
    • The Faceless Swarms are clusters of small ships that are easily one of the most frustrating enemies to fight. They're fast, hard to hit at any sort of distance, and can rip you up very quickly (especially if one of them latches onto your ship). They're also hard to put down for good, as once you sufficiently damage them, they will start regenerating their numbers unless you completely destroy every single ship in the Swarm. Even once you get the Rite of the Star, which is meant to be highly effective against them, you'll likely need to dash through them twice to finish the job, and you'll need to do so in quick succession to prevent the Swarm from regenerating.
  • That One Achievement: The Perfect Dodge mastery requires you to dodge charged beam attacks. The problem is, it only counts as a "Perfect" dodge during a very narrow window (you have to dodge when a red X appears on your ship). You also have to be moving fast in order to dodge, and if you dodge too late, you're gonna eat a heavy amount of damage. This wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that the mastery provides you with bonus energy regeneration for your Rites, making it very valuable to achieve. Worse, if you're playing on Extreme difficulty, the timing to dodge the shot at all is barely a few milliseconds, and failing to dodge it will likely leave you with a fraction of your health (if not kill you outright).
  • That One Boss: The Faceless Sentinel in Stega Central is easily one of the most frustrating bosses in the game. You're in a relatively small arena to face it, and the Sentinel fires long-range, very accurate lasers that will tear you apart in seconds unless you're constantly moving fast, which is hard to do without slamming into a wall. There's also little-to-no cover, so speed is your only option for evading its attacks. The Sentinel is also a Damage-Sponge Boss that can only be hit in four hard-to-hit weak points that are constantly rotating, so you only get brief windows of opportunity to hit them and they take a lot of punishment. Then, after you inflict some damage on it, it'll emit a field that will continuously damage you until you fly through a wormhole right in the middle of the thing, all while Faceless fighters nip at your heels. Oh, and the boss occasionally teleports, leaving you unable to attack it for a few seconds. Finally, there are two unskippable cutscenes during the fight that you'll end up seeing over and over again, as there's no mid-fight checkpoint during the battle.
