• Ass Pull: When finding out that Cole is back, Piper instantly starts panicking that he wants her baby. It was the Source and the Seer who wanted an heir the previous season, not Cole.
• Awesome Music: "Blame It On The Weatherman" - a bittersweet love song by B*witched that plays over the final scene.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Piper's fears about leaving her child motherless? In late Season 6 Chris reveals that in the Bad Future she died when he was only fourteen. What's more is that Leo assures Piper that he'll be there for the child even if she isn't. In the Bad Future Leo is completely distant due to being an Elder.
  • Phoebe and Cole look like they'll become Amicable Exes at the end. Sadly not the case. Not the case at all.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Piper's fearless spell becomes this as of "Sam I Am" when her baby develops a protective shield that literally does make her invincible.
• Jerkass Woobie: Phoebe's nasty behaviour in the previous episode now takes on a different light when it's revealed that she's so broken from her ordeal with Cole - she's resorted to straight up denial rather than admit that she does still love him. Sadly the Woobie part gets eclipsed by the Jerkass part as the season progresses.
• Never Live It Down: Paige gets this big time with the Phoebe and Cole debacle that makes up the first half of this season. Cole is on the verge of packing up and leaving town when she convinces him to stay and prove that Phoebe still loves him.
• Values Dissonance: Paige threatens Groin Attack via orbing when she first sees Cole. The woman threatening magically assisted sexual assault is the one the audience is supposed to be seen as justified.
