YMMV / Charmed S4E6 A Knight To Remember

Go To

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: The Prince tries to defend Paige from the Enchantress, even though he's under a love spell to both of them. Is it because Paige cast the spell more recently and he defaults to her? Or is it because Paige was kind to him, while the Enchantress just used him? Or through chivalry, does he view Paige as an innocent and thus didn't like seeing her in peril?
  • Alternative Joke Interpretation: Leo's "I didn't kill him, did I?" re: the Enchantress's knights. Is he actually worrying that he might have killed them, or is it him joking around in response to Phoebe's "I thought you were a pacifist"?
  • Evil Is Cool: The Evil Enchantress can conjure all four elements, curb-stomped the Charmed Ones easily, and would have ruled a kingdom without having to kill anyone except the Prince.
  • Fanon: As it's never said why a witch from the 1300s is in the Book of Shadows, and the Enchantress is Paige's past life, fans like to imagine she's a distant relative of the Warren line, since the other three's past lives were all related to them as well.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • Charlie Weber gets to be a slave to a superpowered female here as well. At least he gets to live this time.
    • Paige's past life was an evil fairy tale witch. In Once Upon a Time, Rose McGowan would play the younger version of Cora - one of the most evil and powerful witches in the Enchanted Forest. Like the Enchantress, Cora learned magic later in life and became powerful very quickly, and she also married a prince for political advancement.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Bethany Joy Lenz, although known for the soap opera Guiding Light, would later become far more famous for playing Haley James Scott on One Tree Hill.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The Shocker demon is quite unique and could have made for a more menacing villain instead of the Plot-Irrelevant Villain he is here.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The Double Vision and effects to have Rose McGowan do battle with herself twice on screen are pretty convincing.
