• Base-Breaking Character: Squirt. Much like Owen from Total Drama, some despise the character for his usage of Toilet Humour, while others like him for being a major Nice Guy.
• Cargo Ship: Buttsquat gets super attached to the garden gnome he steals from Rosebud.
• Designated Villain: Everyone in Camp Sunnysmiles who isn't Suzi or Buttsquat is treated as guilty by association.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The show was more popular on American Forces Network ^note  A network meant to be viewed by families stationed overseas than it was in the mainland United States, as it still airs to this day.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Several of these for Total Drama.
    • On Total Drama, Scott McCord and Carter Hayden's characters (Owen and Noah) are best friends, over here they are Arch-Enemies. Though there was that one time they played two characters (Jacques and Ennui) who were enemies.
    • Speaking of Owen, he's notorious for inflicting Toilet Humor on others. Now it's McGee's turn to be on the receiving end.
    • Bryn McAuley once again plays a snobby blonde Big Sister Bully.
    • In a case of Actor Allusion, Grim Camper is voiced by Brian Froud, who acts exactly like Harold. He even has some cut-and-paste lines like "wicked" and "awesome".
  • Fred and Sam from the Time Warp Trio both enlisted in the camp. Only now Sam is the one who passes gas.
  • After spending years of being the snobby Rich Bitch, Muffy Crosswire is at odds with a snobby Alpha Bitch herself.
• So Okay, It's Average: While the series does have its fans, for most, it's a pretty unremarkable show that can get a laugh or two when there's nothing else on, but that's about it.
• Squick: Squirt has apparently never washed his underwear. Ever.
• They Copied It, So It Sucks!: Many of the show's detractors have accused it of being a poor man's Gravity Falls, due to the premise of kids encountering the supernatural while on summer vacation in the woods. It really doesn't help that Disney XD aired the series around the same time Gravity Falls was airing.
