• Hilarious in Hindsight: In the novel, the protagonist tries to haggle with a drug dealer, who responds with "Who do you think you are, John DeLorean?" At the time, DeLorean was famed mostly for being a failed car designer and an alleged drug trafficker. This line becomes funny after four years later, the protagonist would be played by a person who at that point was much more easily associated with the DeLorean name.
