  • Character Rerailment: MCU Jessica is, to put it frankly, a snarky, neurosed mess of a human being. Here, her determination to clean herself for her young son brings her closer to her comic-book depiction as a loving mother to Danielle Cage.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: A turning point in and made of silk and steel involves Bucky Barnes being sent after a child Peter for his superhuman genetics in the interests of his handlers, only to break out of his programming in the process. Years later, What If…? (2021) would have an episode where Bucky would be sent after a different child Peter for his superhuman genetics in the interests of his handlers, only to break free of his programming in the process.
  • Moment of Awesome:
    • The Winter Soldier shoots out the tires of Frank Castle's truck, flipping the car in the process, in a mission meant to kidnap Peter. Who wins this fight? Frank Castle. Frank, a Badass Normal with military training, was able to beat the Winter Soldier, a highly trained HYDRA assassin super-soldier with a robotic arm, in a fist fight. By the time Frank is done with him, Bucky is knocked out cold, only to wake up with most of his programming literally knocked out him.
    • How do the Avengers learn about Jessica and Matt being enhanced? By discovering files kept on them by HYDRA. What do they say about them? That they are too dangerous to recruit and/or brainwash and that it is best to keep as far away from them as possible. An International Nazi Conspiracy with agents in nearly every government organization in the United States (and beyond) and a whole host of dangerous weaponry and technology are too afraid of Daredevil and Jessica Jones to antagonize them in any way.
      • What's more, the only reason why it took this long for HYDRA to make a move to take Peter is because Jessica kept checking up on him from a distance, a risk that only escalated after Matt found out about him.
  • Moral Event Horizon:
    • Kilgrave shoots beyond it with his treatment of the pregnant Jessica — sneering at her belly and bemoaning it's too late to induce abortion, then forcing her to go through a Traumatic C-Section and abandoning her baby at the hospital.
    • Jessica views Trish shooting Alisa right in front of her as this. Her opinion isn't helped by Trish insisting Alisa was a monster and deserved what she got.
    • Salinger hunts superpowered people, and to equalize the field, he goes after their vulnerable loved ones. Such as seven-year-old Peter, whom he abducts because he feels Jessica was rude to him.
