YMMV / Blood Over

Go To

  • Awesome Music: Despite the game's use of MIDI synthesized music, there are some solid tunes to be found such as the the first boss theme, the second half of Stage 3, and final boss theme.
  • Goddamned Bats: Literally with the eye bat enemies in later stages, especially when the game mixes in their blue-colored variant that shoot eye beams that can stop you at your tracks and kill your Overkill Bonuses.
  • Nintendo Hard: Lots of enemies, difficult bosses, nasty traps, a difficulty system that gets even harder the better you get, and with only a handful of lives and 3 credits available, Blood-over- is a game that'll put your demon-hunting skills to the test, especially if you're trying to reach the game's true ending.
  • That One Boss:
    • Anri from Stage 4. She has very fast attacks that are hard to anticipate and avoid, said attacks can deal out a good amount of damage to you, and can withstand a crapton of damage. She also has a second phase where unleashes doppelgangers whom can easily overwhelm you and give you very little room to dodge all of Anri's attacks.
    • The True Final Boss in Stage 6. Sakuya's fight starts off by wearing you down by siccing waves of enemies at you before finally being consumed by the demons. During the fight with the mutated Sakuya proper, she'll use tentacles that erupt from the ground from the left or right side of the area or straight up from below, beam attacks that are almost impossible to anticipate, and black hole that will pull you in and deal repeated damage to you.
