• Moral Event Horizon: Orochimaru crosses this when he finds out that Kimimaro has been going to Konoha, beating him and forcefully activating his cursed seal and making him go to the second state while Kimimaro screams in agonizing pain and Orochimaru tells him he will kill Naruto.
• Stoic Woobie: Kimimaro's life sucks, he was often beaten by his father for not living up to his expectations, and once he had surpassed him was locked up by him. Wondered the land for months with no clue what to do until Orochimaru discovered him, then its revealed that his illness is slowly killing him and decides to teach Naruto Shikotsumyaku so it can continue. But despite it, he never shows much emotion or concern about what has happened in his life.
• Tear Jerker: Kimimaro's youth can be this. Brought up and hated and berated by his father. Witnessed his clans' destruction and his mother last words to him to flee for his life during The Battle against Mist
  • The death of Ranmaru, the little guy using all his strength to launch his body and take the hit meant for Raiga that kills him. This can also be one for Raiga as he loses all the will he has left to live afterwards and becomes wild and insane in his attacks driven mad and when he is bested and defeated by Kimimaro he bitterly smiles and tells him that he won before he dies.
  • Gaara watching the fight notes that his heart has been broken beyond repair and buries the two together, solemnly noting that they deserve a proper grave as he creates a grave using his sand and lays them beside one another in it.
