- Bizarro Episode: The Liberator is pulled into a black hole, where the crew encounter an Auron god and a man who dresses like the Mad Hatter. It's more in line with Star Trek: The Original Series than Blake's 7.
- Fridge Brilliance: Why does Avon get into the spacesuit when he knows destruction is certain in a black hole? As the one most familiar with Orac, he likely assumed that the computer would not let them enter the black hole unless certain of survival, so he's simply increasing his own chances of doing so if there's a hull breach.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Lord Thaarn promises his slaves they will be Masters of the Universe.
- Spiritual Adaptation: This feels more like a Star Trek: The Original Series episode.
