• Recycled Script: Scriptwriter James Follett would later write the sci-fi radio serial Earthsearch. In the episodes "Supermass" and "Deathship", a starship is drawn into a black hole, only to discover an artificial construct littered with derelict spacecraft, from which they escape by reversing the gravity field.
• What Could Have Been: Throughout the original script Tarrant is still referred to as "Captain" (a more villainous character who was planning to seize the Liberator for the bounty) and Dayna's part was originally labelled "Jenna".
