• Creator's Oddball: Anthem is this for a studio primarily known for making role playing games. Tellingly, it's Bioware's lowest rated game to date and following its promised revamp in early 2021 being abandoned in favor of new entries in the Mass Effect and Dragon Age, it's highly unlikely the company will ever stray from their RPG roots again.
• Tough Act to Follow: Games such as Mass Effect and Dragon Age: Origins really helped to establish Bioware back in the late 2000's as the western RPG studio to watch. As such, the company had big shoes to fill throughout the New 10's and while sequels to their originals IP’s were received at least somewhat warmly by some, others feel, especially as time went on, that the Bioware of old is long gone, not helped in the slightest by many notable writers and developers gradually leaving the company along with their controversial parent company EA pushing Bioware to get their games out the door without consideration for any practical means of doing so that would significantly lessen their heavy workload against tight deadlines.
