- Player Punch: Those random humans doing their best in the dungeon can really save your neck in single player. But they're just as vulnerable as you are... All those traps and all those monsters are bound to rob you of a few of your plucky friends now and then.
- Scrappy Mechanic: The Minotaur. It shows up completely at random, and essentially forces you to speedrun any floor it appears on; this can easily lead to you being forced to skip a bonus level if you can't find it before the Minotaur shows up to play. It can even show up on multiple levels consecutively! Thankfully, you can turn it off.
