• Archive Panic: There are almost 1700 "Drew Pickles Goes To" videos and OVER 220,000 "Secret Missing Episodes", and that's not even including the countless other Barney Bunch videos. In short, you have to be really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really homosexually gay to watch all of this shit.
• Broken Base:
  • There was a huge one over pre and post-2011 videos presumably after the 2011 feud mentioned on the Trivia page. With the advent of Blood-style videos and various influxes of new users almost outnumbering the old guard, this seems to be no longer the case.
  • Whether or not Stu Pickles is supposed to be a flaming homosexual or a bisexual foot fetishist, which led to a semi-dispute between video makers in the mid-2010s. This to the point where on one of Blood's videos, somebody attempted to push the bisexual Stu idea, in which Blood told him to simply 'fuck off' in a since-deleted reply.
  • Either the videos are just plain crass and stupid or so crass and stupid that they're funny.
• Can't Un-Hear It:
  • In non-Barney Bunch videos with Microsoft Sam, such as Guards N' Retards, Arby 'n' the Chief, or the infamous "My ROFLcopter" video, it's hard not to hear the "soi soi soi soi soi soi" as the sound of ejaculation. Hell, one can't hear the voice itself without thinking of Drew Pickles, and it's common to see at least one Barney Bunch related comment in a Microsoft Sam video.
  • One can't even watch an episode of Rugrats without expecting Microsoft Sam's voice to come out of Drew after the Gag Dubs by Bigboyrats and TomServo3.
  • Tom's scream from Tom and Jerry is so synonymous with the Barney Bunch that it's almost hard to not think of Chas Finster getting violated in the ass.
• Critical Dissonance:
  • While the Barney Bunch videos were very popular on Newgrounds, many of the site admins disliked their popularity. So much that at one point, if you searched 'Barney' into the search bar you wouldn't receive back results. YouTube has also terminated other (and respected) video makers such as Prime8NStuff and Tomservo3alt (who was also quite known in the YouTube Poop scene).
  • A minor one on VidLii, where several Barney Bunch users took residence on. Some VidLii users criticized the videos, but it also inspired some to take a crack at making their own. SavageBoy, one of the users who made videos on that site, stopped uploading thereafter showing disillusionment with the site's community who seemed to invoke Broken Base over absolutely everything on there.
  • A recent one happened on Tracle, where many users criticized the Barney Bunch being on the site in fear of driving other creators away due to the videos. It would result in a flamewar between the Barney Bunch and Tracle communites in late October, causing the Barney Bunch to split with the site after.
• Crosses the Line Twice:
  • Ronald McDonald's nickname being "the Penis Clown".
  • The concept of cartoon characters as homosexual rapists who are also misogynist to the extent that they want to kill all females is homophobic at its core, but is done in such a ridiculous and over-the-top fashion that it falls into this trope instead.
  • Since the advent of user Blood's style of videos and it's widespread influence in the mid-2010s, this has essentially become the predominant mode for videos. It has become odd for a Barney Bunch video NOT to invoke this trope at this point.
  • In a now-removed video featuring Drew Pickles making a cake for Barney's birthday, Chuckie Finster comes out and the Quaker Queer follows him asking who let him out of his cage. Later into the video, the Quaker Queer is forcing Chuckie to suck his cock under the table.
  • The frequent use of slurs, particularly the "f"-slur towards gay men, would usually turn heads, but considering the slur is being used in these videos to this day frequently puts it in this category.
  • The video where Drew goes to Bob Saget’s funeral.
• Discredited Meme: Because the videos have become far less popular over time as many people started to regard them as painfully low-effort and unfunny, and even genuinely offensive regardless of how ironic the videos were intended to be, the series has indirectly hit Drew Pickles status as a meme icon. It says something that, for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, while fans were elated to see Nigel Thornberry and fan demand for fellow meme dad Hugh Neutron was loud enough for him to be added as a fighter later on, literally nobody outside the main Speakonia Community was clamoring for Drew Pickles to be in the game.
• Fandom Rivalry: The Singonia subsection of the community and the Vocaloid fandom after some members of the latter thought Singonia songs were Vocaloid songs.
• Fridge Brilliance:
  • The Quaker Queer was added in 2009, a seemingly random character - unless you remember how in Rugrats, Chuckie often mentioned his fear of "the guy on the oatmeal box." This was covered in this video and a now-removed video revealed that the Quaker Queer keeps Chuckie in a cage and uses him for sexual pleasure.
  • While it can be chalked down to how Drew Pickles Go To Videos tend to abandon all sense of logic, it could be possible that the real reason why nobody tries to escape when Drew starts raping people in some videos is because he has the Barney Bunch block off any exits offscreen, allowing Drew to rape every man in the area unopposed while the other members get to have their way with or murder any potential escapees.
• Harsher in Hindsight: In a Wiggles video from 2009 titled "The Wiggles play with their poopy", one part of the video involved them having heart attacks from eating too much shit. Greg Page nearly died via cardiac arrest during a reunion concert of the original members (Greg, Anthony, Murray, and Jeff, the most well-known lineup who are the most commonly depicted in these videos) for Australian bushfire relief efforts in January 2020.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • This Gag Dub of Fred being gay is silly to watch now that Lucas Cruikshank has come out as gay.
  • Betty DeVille is openly gay in the Rugrats reboot, essentially making the Betty Bunch canon. This video covers it.
  • Drew Pickles' pointed dislike for managers was ahead of its time given the rise of the "Karen" meme/stereotype around 2020, with many of them acting in a similar entitled manner to Drew (minus the sexual violence).
  • A promiscuous pervert who contstantly talks about his huge penis voiced by Microsoft Sam? Are we talking about Drew Pickles or Swagmaster?
• It's the Same, Now It Sucks!:
  • During the mid-2010s, the "Drew Pickles Goes To" videos that had dominated the scene were increasingly viewed as being cookie-cutter and fell out of favor, being completely usurped by videos about the Wiggles, Doug Funnie/Skeeter Valentine, Ronald McDonald and others.
  • By the late 2010s-early 2020s, the Blood-style videos that had revolutionized the community (the ones with just one image of a character and with titles like "DREW PICKLES IS A REALLY GAY GAY GAY GAY GAY MAN!") started to be viewed by some as having grown tiresome.
  • Someone actually commented on DrewPicklesiswell1957's Discussion board that his Drew Pickles commentary videos are this.
• Memetic Molester:
  • The Barney Bunch can be considered the main reason why Drew Pickles is considered to be a homosexual rapist who spends all his time going on raping sprees that leaves no man unviolated.
  • To a lesser extent, this has also happened to other characters, some of whom are official members of the Barney Bunch or may be on different teams altogether.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • The image of Drew used on the poster on the main page (actually a redrawn version of a still-frame from the Rugrats episode "Stu Maker's Elves") became quite the meme after its usage in Barney Bunch videos, however, the community has barely crossed over with the general meme landscape possibly due to its flat out outrageousness.
  • Alongside the headshot of Drew, this other image tends to be commonly used in Barney Bunch videos with or without the background.
  • Drew Pickles goes to X ^Explanation One of the most common formats for Drew Pickles related videos, and often an indicator of where Drew shall carry out his depraved shenanigans.
  • Hello my name is Drew Pickles, and I'm really, really gay/the gayest man in the universe.^Explanation Drew's introductory catchphrase used in any Drew Pickles video before he does anything else in the video.
  • "Bag, that was swell."^Explanation Drew's Post-Rape Taunt used Once per Episode after a sequence of him either sodomizing any man unfortunate enough to be in his vicinity or for anyone who wants to have sex with Drew.
• Moe: Drew Pickles Jr.'s childlike energy and curiosity make him surprisingly adorable.
• Moral Event Horizon: Obviously given the context of these videos, this is very common, but in videos made since the mid-2010s, characters cross this line literally all the time with no inhibitions or remorse, especially The Wiggles.
• Older Than They Think:
  • Legendary user Blood is mostly associated with the mid-late 2010s due to his massive influence on the community at that time. He actually started in 2007, and was already pretty much established by the very early 2010s. On top of this, he admitted that the style of videos he is associated with wasn't entirely his doing, but rather a throwback to the classic Barney Bunch styles from the Newgrounds/early YouTube eras.
• Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: LadyJikuya's unique style of videos invokes this as a gag, in which Drew tries to physically realize a specific idiom (such as dropping the bass, taking one for the team, etc.), fails, and dies. Dies. Dies. Dies. Dies. And then tries it again in a different context.
• Ron the Death Eater:
  • Rugrats character Drew Pickles goes from Angelica Pickles' doting and well-intentioned father who is Happily Married to Charlotte Pickles in canon to a politically incorrect Depraved Homosexual who likes to rape men and beat women to death with his mastadonic 300 mile long cock while being leader of a group who engages in homosexual depravity on a regular basis.
  • Its not just Drew Pickles or anyone considered a Barney Bunch member. Any character can become a mean spirited homosexual rapist regardless of their actual canon personality depending on the video maker.
• So Bad, It's Good: No one will admit that the videos are skillfully made, but one's opinion of them depends on one's sense of humor. The self-aware humor in some later videos definitely helps. The reaction on VidLii throughout the middle of 2019 and on Tracle in 2022, though minor however seemed to fall into straight-up horrible.
• Tear Jerker: A video where Drew expresses the video maker's disgust over a video containing animal cruelty and death is much more serious than any Barney Bunch video and extremely distressing to any animal lover. Despite the text to speech, you can feel the rage from Michael Of Random through Drew Pickles. Michael/Drew goes over how a video containing horrifying and graphic imagery of animals can get by without issue while BB videos, while having outrageous and crossing the line humor, are fictional and harmless get shot down.

• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Some classic video makers tend to dislike new videos, but this seems to be going away as the old guard is replaced by the new guard.
