YMMV / Apartment 143

Go To

  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The accusation that Mr. White is sexually touching his daughter is never looked into afterwards. Heck, it can be assumed that Cynthia White was just tricking them into thinking that.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The idea that your deceased loved one is coming after your family for no other reason than to fuck with you is incredibly uncomfortable.
  • Moe: Benny is very adorable with the occult detectives liking him while they are working and he is the only one in the family who gets along with his dad and his sister and they love him in turn with Caitlin being very friendly and nice towards him and his dad does his best to keep him out of their arguments.
  • The Scrappy: Caitlin, Caitlin, CAITLIN. Even if one does feel sorry for her over the fact she's hurting over her mother's death, she spends most of the film just being unbearable, rude, obnoxious, and constantly fighting with her father with such a teenage bitchy attitude. The Reveal that she's institutionalized afterwards in the end comes off as more karma despite being a pawn by her ghostly psychotic mother.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: With the exception of the investigation crew and the White's son, Mr. White and especially Caitlin are a bore to deal with their negative and abrasive nature towards one another.
