YMMV / Andy Biersack

Go To

  • Breakthrough Hit: As Andy Black, "We Don't Have To Dance."
  • Broken Base: Andy's decision to go solo. Half of the fans are highly supportive, while the other half thinks his solo project is terrible and believes his decision will lead to the breakup of the band.
    • Surprisingly, his recent marriage to former vocalist of Automatic Loveletter and contestant on Season Two of The Voice (US), Juliet Simms also qualifies as such. A rather large amount of fans absolutely hate Juliet Simms to the point to where she has multiple hate blogs dedicated to her on Tumblr and Instagram. They tend to frequently call their marriage a sham, a publicity stunt, and have given up on the band altogether because of their relationship, believing she will be the end of the band itself. The parallels between fans' reaction to their marriage and another contentious musical couple isn't lost on the older fans of the band.
    • Andy's father's Twitter involvement with the band also qualifies.
    • Andy's rumored involvement in The Church of Scientology due to getting a tattoo of the 11th rule in the Scientology Code of Honor and marrying someone who grew up in the religion. Many of the fans have openly voiced their disgust and often accuse him of being a liar that compromised his values for fame, particularly since Andy has always presented himself as a staunch atheist, even though there is no concrete proof that he is now a Scientologist.
  • Creator Backlash: Absolutely hates old Black Veil Brides.
  • Old Shame: Recently has come to regard his past, including the Andy Six persona and a good deal of Black Veil Brides, as this.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The Shadow Side did not go over well with the BVB fanbase, and most of its detractors consider it to be Andy's mediocre attempt at being a Morrissey Expy.
