- Memetic Mutation:
- "Scones." Even became an Ascended Meme, with certain characters mentioning them favorably in-game.
- The Discord chat often jokes about the game going to pay-to-win, with 'loot boxes' where you can earn dots for Disciplines you don't have, avatars for characters you don't play, and influence dots for games you aren't in.
- "Penny is two Baali in a trenchcoat."Explanation
- Nightmare Fuel:
- The thread 'Abyssus Abyssum Invocat' definitely qualifies. A Sinister Subway full of rats, gorn, a Cryptic Background Reference for one of the player characters featuring an incredibly creepy NPC, and finally what is heavily implied to be an Earthbound, who reduced another PC to a muttering, post-frenzy mess.
- 'Withdrawn' had Bella and Eleanor having a casual conversation while Eleanor flayed a man alive on her table. And that's before Bella's sword started talking.
- Eric Conner. Horribly butchered and publicly displayed in a way reminiscent of the Mad Artist from Psycho-Pass for reasons unknown, and the culprit still hasn't been brought to justice.
- Bishop Devana in the Sabbat game. Just... look at her. Arachnophobes, ye be warned.
- Paranoia Fuel: One advantage the play-by-post style of the game has? There's no table-talk. The Dramatis Personae and equivalent public character profiles almost never tell the full story about that character. At any given moment, there are several threads going on behind-the-scenes in private forums invisible to anyone except the storytellers and members of a given coterie. For example, someone using Auspex 5 or a Thaumaturgy or Necromancy Ritual could be watching you, or some other character your character thought they could trust could be a spy for another coterie (or even another sect), and there's a very good chance you would never know until it's too late.
