While she has described it as a headcanon as in it's not canon to Voltron: Legendary Defender, Lauren Montgomery has shared some info on the pictures seen in Captain Olia's ship.


  • Lance was confirmed to be the youngest amongst his three siblings, Marco, Luis, and Veronica, and he's also an uncle to his niece and nephew. He's also said to be a mestizo Cuban.
  • Official material states that Lance isn't the brightest bulb in the pack.
  • The showrunners have confirmed at ECCC 2018 that Keith will return to Team Voltron in season 6 after being Out of Focus in season 4 and 5.
  • In an interview with Afterbuzz after season 5, they revealed that Honerva was pregnant with Lotor during flashbacks of "The Legend Begins" and that Lotor has a "daywalker" effect in addition to explaining that his quintessence-enhanced DNA is responsible for his youthful appearance and allowing him to age slower than an average Galra.

  • The showrunners confirmed in a Den of Geek interview that Lotor's feelings for Allura were in fact genuine rather than predatory like in the original series.
  • Joaquim Dos Santos confirmed to fans that another scene taking place during the time of the original Paladins would happen in season 8 and indeed, it happened.
  • The writers revealed that the heavily-criticized epilogues for the main characters were created as a direct result of the decision to give Shiro the above scene, and that the original ending was supposed to be much more open in regard to the paths each of them took in their lives.
