OK K.O.! Let's Be.....Mini Maulers?
What Could Have Been in this series.
  • Ian Jones Quartey originally had Eric Bauza in mind to play Rad, but the budget for the pilot unexpectedly ran out, so he decided to play Rad himself.
  • In the outline of "Know Your Mom", the Kactus Krew were themed after The Mafia instead of Rotten Rock & Roll. Then someone pitched a sketch of Succulentus as a Nu Metal rocker, which the whole crew found too hilarious to pass up.
  • "Everybody Likes Rad?" started as two different episodes pitches (one about Rad becoming an internet celebrity, the other about him becoming a Hollywood movie actor) that were combined because they didn't feel either could sustain a whole episode on its own.
  • Elodie wasn't originally going to have history with Enid, and her character is apparently more complex than it was originally.
  • Concept art shows that Cosma was going to have an appearance more fitting of her cosmic-sounding name, with stars in her hair and antennae with ringed planet designs on the tips.
  • Enid's twin brothers were originally going to be just one slime boy, but Stevie Borbolla wanted him to be more like a classic Halloween creature, and when she couldn't decide between a little franken-kid or a pumpkin-head, she used both and made them twins.
  • Wilhamena, Enid's mother, was originally going to have a buzz-cut hairstyle.
  • "Let's Watch the Pilot" started as a more "normal" attempt to reuse and expand on the animation from the pilot, but everything was so different-looking they decided to use an Animated Actors framing.
  • "Crossover Nexus":
    • It was initially envisioned as a 22-minute special where hypnotized Cartoon Network characters would fight each other before joining together to defeat the evil Red Pen. While the pitch was well-received, the network decided that they would prefer it to be a standard 11-minute episode. As a result, this original story was scrapped in favor of one with Strike and CN City.
    • Scenes with cameos of Class of 3000 and The Secret Saturdays characters, the only two CN original series which failed to make an appearance in the final episode, were cut for time. The series finale rectified this by featuring cameos from Sunny Bridges (from Class of 3000) & Drew Saturday (from The Secret Saturdays).
    • Kelsey from Craig of the Creek was considered as one of the characters K.O. teamed up with, but the episode's production began before her show premiered, so she instead just had a cameo.
    • A scene in which Garnet splits into Ruby and Sapphire was storyboarded, but ultimately cut, most likely because Charlene Yi and Erica Luttrell were unavailable or busy with Steven Universe itself.
  • A crossover with Space Ghost: Coast To Coast was planned , but C. Martin Crocker's passing caused the idea to be scrapped. Had it been not been cancelled it would have been the first time a CN show crossed over with an [adult swim] property. note
  • Ian Jones-Quartey presented an image to the network of more potential crossovers had the show continued, including Sailor Moon, Captain Caveman, Hong Kong Phooey, Mega Man, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
  • Had the series continued, planned episodes included Fink enrolling in K.O.'s class and a Whole-Plot Reference of A Cure for Wellness set at Billiam Milliam’s golden spa pyramid that turns people gold.
  • Series director Toby Jones mentioned how a crossover with Batman: The Brave and the Bold was briefly considered.
  • A crossover episode called "Summer of Garnet" was considered, wherein the Powie Zowies from the game Let's Play Heroes were activated long enough for K.O. to summon Garnet, but were deactivated before she could be de-summoned, so she spends an entire summer as a part of the bodega crew, moving in with K.O. and Carol.
  • An episode called "Don't Squeeze The Squeezo" was going to be season 2's Halloween episode, but "Monster Party" was made instead. If not for the shortened episode order, season 3 would have included it.
  • A TV movie was considered, had the series not been cancelled.
  • Shy Ninja was going to be a possible rival for Enid, but they never cracked the story.
  • Dendy was once an elf, unlike the final show, where she's a kappa.
  • The show was meant to be part of the streaming channel for all of WarnerMedia's brands that would eventually surface as HBO Max, but the election of Donald Trump led to the latter's administration filing a lawsuit to stop AT&T's acquisition of Time Warner, delaying the deal until June 2018. By that time, OK K.O.! had been on Cartoon Network for nearly a year.
  • The crew tried to get a toyline to coincide with the show (which would include real-life Pow Cards), but the exes weren't interested.
  • The crew had pitched a comic book series that would feature supporting characters' stories in the style of manga magazines, but the network wasn't interested. (Boom! Studios had a first look deal for OK K.O.! comics as part of holding the comic rights to CN's 2010's-era characters, but they weren't interested.)
