These are recommendations made by tropers for OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. No name recommendations will be zapped. After a few samples, you will be able to note the interests of the tropers recommending them, and judge whether you might be also interested in a certain fic.

Now left out on his own during a stormy night, he can only think of how much he has lost because of this whole ordeal. And how he really is, as the other villains say, a "joke villain". Thankfully... there will be a small light to save him from the elements. And his own mind even.

- Synopsis: Sequel to "Lost". Things have been peaceful since Venomous took Boxman in. Apart from a few things, like the professor trying to make Boxman a new red eye, and having to watch the Boxman as he recovers. Despite this, Venomous is determined to try and help Boxman in anyway he can. Despite finding himself with more questions than answers in multiple areas. AO3 link.

- Synopsis: "This is a story about loss. A loss of FUCKING brain cells because by the end of this fic my babes Box n’ Ven only have one left and somehow manage to fucking share it. You, my precious reader, are in for a wild fucking ride."
- Comments: This story is non-stop hilarity from start to finish. It takes a basic premise (Boxman and Venomous get high and go out for a night on the town. Hilarity Ensues) and runs with it, creating some amazingly funny dialogue and scenarios that you could actually see the characters going through, despite how adult and vulgar they are compared to the show. The author does a great balancing act of having Boxman and Venomous behaving in-character while simultaneously doing and saying things you'd never expect from them. Also, the entire story is narrated in a snarky, irreverent, deliberately unpolished style that just ties everything together.
Shipping Fics

- Synopsis: For a while now, something was off with KO. He seemed anxious whenever the bodega was nearing closing time, and no ones why. Not even his friends Enid, Rad, or even Dendy. So when they decide to see what's been going on with the young hero, things are gonna be complicated as KO reveals to them that he was seeing someone. Someone they don't particular in a way like.
- Pairing(s): KO/Fink.
- Comments: In a setting where pretty much everybody is a hero or a villain in some way, a hero falling in love with a villain is most certainly Serious Business. Focusing on a relatively common pairing in fanworks, the story is incredibly sweet, if sometimes inconsistently paced, and gives Fink a lot of character depth that wasn't absolute within the actual show. Some of the plot elements are Outdated by Canon, since the story was written when Season 2 was still ongoing, but it fortunately doesn't detract from the quality.

- Comments: An entirely different show from the original, and a really good one. Taking a more serious tone, while still keeping the same light we know and love, this is a story that could stand on it's feet as it's own show with it's own tale to tell.

- Unfinished Business: Ongoing
- Synopsis: Rad, K.O., and (a reluctant) Mr. Gar set up a question and answer on request of K.O. . Each suffer from hanahaki. Will they find their happy ending or will the hanahaki take their lives?
- Relationships: K.O./Dendy, Carol/Mr. Gar, Enid/Red Action, and Boxman/Venomous
- Comments: A fun, charming little series that diverts from canon around late Season 1 by establishing that K.O., Rad, and Mr. Gar (and, as eventually revealed, several other characters) suffer from Hanahaki disease note The author does a great job establishing the concept for those uninitiated, and the deviations from canon make for a very intricate and fascinating experience. Of note is how the story is driven forward via Audience Participation. Readers leave comments to be read aloud and responded to by characters in the very next chapter, and while these interactions started out as simple questions about how Hanahaki has affected the characters' lives, the commenters (or, as they're known in the story, "The Askers") take on lives of their own, becoming characters in their own right and showing the ability to bend the reality of the story's world to their whim. All the while, the author does a fantastic job keeping the characters and setting consistent with the actual show.

- Comments: A very cute and interesting story of very different (yet similarly named) characters Dendy and Wendy, with everyone very much in character and a good amount of interaction.
