May The 12th Be With You is a 2024 animated short based on The Simpsons, Star Wars, and Disney.

Marge Simpson and the moms of Disney+ go on a special Mother's Day outing that turns into an epic galactic adventure, filled with heroes, villains, and a surprising old friend.

The short premiered on May 10, 2024.

Tropes appearing in this short:

  • Art Shift: The characters from the Hulu shows are drawn exactly as they are in their source material, as are several other characters throughout the short. Creating an Art-Style Dissonance when other characters are shown with the franchise's trademark overbites.
  • Biting-the-Hand Humor: The Griffins, the Hills, and the Belchers do not show until the ending where the party is over, a clear stab at how Disney+ doesn't have those shows on their main service and only in Hulu (except outside the US where Hulu doesn't exist and Disney+ has STAR instead), unless one has the Disney Bundle, which only then add those shows and more to the main Disney+ bundle.
  • Cluster Bleep-Bomb: After Homer throws Stewie head first into a bag, Stewie curses out Homer in a long tirade.
  • Creative Closing Credits: The credits features images of Simpsons and Disney characters interacting.
  • Crossover: Between Disney, The Simpsons and Star Wars (and Ludo Studio as the Heelers from Bluey appear).
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus:
    • Bambi's mom can be seen with a bandage on her neck in the short, with it implying that she survived her gun shot wound.
    • The spaceship window that Marge opens in the short, has Boeing on the latch, a reference to the plane issues Boeing are facing in 2024.
  • Offering Another in Your Stead: Played for Laughs: Bambi's mother gets so spooked when she mistake's Marge's engine shot as a gunshot from a hunter, that she begs for Bambi to be taken instead of her.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a reference to May The Force Be With You from Star Wars, and May 12th, which is Mother's Day.
