Maggie Simpson in "Rogue Not Quite One" is a 2023 animated short based on The Simpsons and Star Wars. The cartoon was released on Disney+ May 4th 2023 in honor of "Star Wars Day".

When The Mandalorian comes to drop off Grogu at daycare, Homer temporarily puts Maggie in Grogu's floating stroller so he can grab a quick drink at Moe's Cantina. Unfortunately, Maggie activates the stroller's controls and takes off across the galaxy in hyperspace, causing Homer to loose track of her. Once in space, Maggie finds herself in a conflict against a group of Imperial TIE fighters, and her old enemy Gerald, who follow her back to Springfield.

Tropes appearing in this short:

  • 360-Degree Swing Set Swing: Milhouse, Ralph and a girl playing on the swings at Springfield Elementary end up doing multiple 360 swings after Maggie in the stroller rushes past them at hyperdrive speed. It causes them to get tied up on the bar.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Just as the tie-fighters have Maggie cornered, Kang and Kodos appear in their spaceship and open fire on them, while both are wearing Team Maggie shirts.
  • Care-Bear Stare: Once Maggie gives Gerald her pacifier, he transforms from an evil Darth-Maul esque boy into a peaceful kid with yellow skin like the other Simpsons characters.
  • Crossover: Between The Simpsons and Star Wars.
  • Day in the Limelight: The fourth short to focus on Maggie.
  • Donut Mess with a Cop: When Chief Wiggum and Lou chase after Maggie, she distracts them with a donut.
  • Grappling-Hook Pistol: Maggie uses one to escape to Gerald's Tie-fighter after the stroller is shot down by Gerald.
  • Mime and Music-Only Cartoon: There's no dialogue of any kind for most of the cartoon, with Chief Wiggum speaking being a notable exception.
  • Opening Scroll: A Star Wars style scroll appears halfway through the short. It begins to describe Maggie's next adventure when suddenly the writer gets tired, claims nobody ever reads these things and complains why The Simpsons don't have their own tile on Disney +. Then Maggie flies through the scroll and causes a "W" to collide with Gerald's Tie Fighter.
  • Pop-Culture Pun Episode Title: The title is a reference to Rogue One.
  • Signs of Disrepair: The battle between Maggie and the Tie Fighters causes most letters to fall off the Lard Lad Donuts sign, leaving only the "Nuts" part.
  • Swallowed Whole: Homer bumps into an alien who immediately swallows him in one bite. He later spits Homer out again, and Homer is no worse for the wear. Later, one of the tie fighters gets swallowed whole by a giant three-eyed fish.
  • Would Harm a Child: The Mandalorian immediately pulls out his sword when he sees Maggie in Grogu's stroller, and lashes out at her. Maggie only escapes by flying away at the last second.
