The webcomic serves as an adaptation to the shitpost story by the same name, giving it an actual plot and world building. Here, the wiki is treated as en entire universe, inhabited by Characters (which are divided into Base Characters, Creators and Admins) and ruled by its creators: Itajira and Nox.

- Adaptation Expansion: The original VFWC was nothing more than a shitpost with little to no plot, to the point it could barely be considered a story, while this webcomic creates an actual story and background.
- Alien Sky: The sky in Fanontopia is red and has black clouds.
- Eldritch Location: The Pathway, a world composed by various weird bridges that lead to many other different worlds. The bridges being a case of Art-Style Clash and the comic itself stating that the Pathway's "geometry makes little to no sense and is all but consistent" further emphasizes this.
- Homage: The entire comic is supposed to be this to the Villains Fanon Wiki, its community, characters and the original VFWC.
