Pen & Ink is a webcomic created by Suprdee2, author of Life with Kurami and Rosebuds.

Under the premise of creating an autobiographical comic together, it focuses on the two Ewart sisters, 19 year old Penny (aka "Pen") and three year old Inkara (aka "Ink") and their adventures in the world of Canvaita involving both their passion for art and their strong sisterly bond.

The comic is also hosted on Webtoons and Twitter.

Pen & Ink contain the following tropes:

  • Aerith and Bob: The sisters' respective first names. Penny is a well-known given name for girls. Inkara however, not so much.
  • Baby Talk: Ink, being a toddler, speaks in the third person and pronounces most words with a "W" or "S" (like calling her oldest sister "Big Sisser Pen"). Her bio page describes her way of speaking a part of her otherwise disorganized nature.
  • Big Beautiful Woman: Pen has a hefty figure and is considered beautiful by most other characters, some of them even having crushes on her.
  • Big Eater: Pen has quite a huge appetite, as she loves to make double-decker sandwiches.
  • Cool Big Sis: Pen is often one to her little sister Ink, always taking the time to play with her and encouraging her artistic endeavors.
  • The Dreaded: Pen towards her fellow artists, as shown in this comic.
  • Nice Girl: Pen is supportive (often aggressively so) towards other artists, is a kind and loving older sister to Ink and is a decent person in general. Her little sister Ink is also shown to be a kindly and helpful girl.
  • Overly Polite Pals: When an artist feels discouraged, Pen and Ink (mostly Pen) will always show up to give support. Whether the person actually wants it doesn't really matter to them.
  • Parental Substitute: The girls' parents are never seen or mentioned, but they do have a guardian in their grandfather, Papel. He occasionally visits to see how Pen and Ink are doing and sometimes spends time with them. Then again, since he rarely appears, Pen more-or-less is one herself for her little sister.
  • Practically Different Generations: Pen is a young adult while her younger sister Ink is pre-school age.
  • Punny Name: The titular sisters' nicknames are obviously based on tools famously used to make comic books.
