Eun-Sung Lee is just a husband, a father and middle-manager who is having a hard time in the company because of his boss who is a completely self-centered asshole. And just like any other day he woke up at the morning, ate breakfast, said goodbye to his wife while his daughter is sleeping and went to work. However, on that day Seoul is attacked by gigantic bugs and from there on the struggle for survival against the bugs, humans who lost their mind and the soldiers of a secret organisations that is linked to the bugs somehow began.

They multiply fast, they are getting smarter as time passes and they are turning human into humans-bugs hybrids. Also, the Entomologist believes that the ruler of Earth always changing and now it is the bugs turn to rule.
- Cool Old Guy: The old man who is part of Lee's group. As time pass one can note that he is the biggest Badass in the Webcomic.

- Determinator: Eun-Sung will go through any danger in order to find his family. There comes times where he almost loses hope, but he still continue no matter what the odds.
- Dirty Coward: One of the soldiers, Sergeant Jeong, try to make a run for it through the subway while the other soldiers are fighting to protect the civilians when the bugs attack. He even cut the wire for the grenade trap. This lead the bugs to enter the subway without a problem. As for him he get killed by the bugs and his corpse is used by them in an attempt to lure the others.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?: The young girl, who tagged along with the group ever since the old man unintentionally saved her from two thugs who wanted to rape her, every time there is a new member that join their group she try to play cool, but they all ignore her and she doesn't like it.
- Face–Heel Turn: The bug guy who was forcefully turned into a hybrid started to like his condition and began to manipulate the other characters to make sure that Miss Seong completely turn into a queen.
- Face–Monster Turn: Eun-Sung's wife. She was injected with the human-bugs hybrid transformation needle then she was kidnapped by the bugs in front of her own daughter and made into their queen. The transformed mother doesn't seem to remember her past nor her husband and continue to lead the hive she rules over to conquer other hives. However, she has a fixation about her "child" which seems to be the only thing that is left from her humanity, but she does not seem to clearly remember her child.
- Family Man: Eun-Sung again. This is shown as the time passes as the single though of being reunited with his family is what drives him to continue to fight and stay alive.
- Foreshadowing: Miss Seong being a hybrid queen is foreshadowed during the comic before the revelation:
- When she said she went to a pharmacy to get medicine despite the old man saying that the place was crowded with hosts, she lied and said there weren't any when she went.
- When the black wasps attack they don't attack her and that happens when she was being attacked by crazy people trying to rape her.
- When Eun-Sung's finally find his family in the evacuation center after the bugs attack his wife who was holding his daughter run towards him the look on Miss Seong is that of someone not happy with what she is seeing and then all of the sudden a black wasp comes and take them.
- Gatling Good: The Old Man recovers a 20mm vulcan cannon from an abandoned Army K263 and uses it to good effect on bugs and thugs alike.
- Genius Bruiser: The Bugs are getting smarter as time passes through the story. Also, Eun-Sung is shown to be smart enough to build things to kill the bugs.
- Good Smoking, Evil Smoking: Eun-Sung and the bastard director Choi are smokers.
- Gone Horribly Right: The black wasps were genetically-engineered in order to give humanity control over the strongest insect as with the rise of oxygen level the bugs would become larger and since they are at the bottom of the food chain they can't be exterminated due to the effect on the ecosystem. After creating the wasps the problem was the queen's lifespan was short, 4-6 month. Thus they wanted to turn humans into wasps' queens. However, those who created the wasps released it on every major city in the world instead of trying to accomplish their goal in the lab and in a short amount of time the wasps become smarter - not only the Queens who were supposed to be as smart as a human, but the soldiers and workers wasp too. Then when a hybrid queens were found both of them were close to Eun-Sung, his wife and miss Seong, the wife completely transform and the attempt to capture and control her failed and she end up transforming the soldiers into hybrids that serve her.
- Going Native: The bug guy who at first wanted the cure to go back to be a human being again. However, after spending some time as a hybrid he decided to stay that way and betrayed Eun-Sung's group as he started to manipulate him in order to turn Miss Seong into a queen or insure the Eun-Sung's wife who was turned into a queen remain this way so he can use her.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: Eun-Sung gets a scar on the left side of his head because of a bullet that also took out part of his ear. one of the soldiers that works for the secret organizations, a woman with a scar on the left side of her face close to her eyes.
- Green-Eyed Monster: Miss Seong have signs of being this towards Eun-Sung's wife. Hell, after the revelation that she is a hybrid queen it is heavily hinted that she influenced the bugs to take away Eun-Sung's family when he meet them in the evacuation center.
- Guns Akimbo: Eun-Sung when he had to protect his family from the thugs who were holding them.
- Heartbroken Badass: Eun-Sung. In the recent chapter, his transformed wife tried to kill him after she could not recognize him which made him realize that his wife is gone. However, even with that he made sure that the grenade he has doesn't explode near her.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: The Old Man take a knife from someone else and use them to either hurt or kill them and that happened twice.
- Heroic Sacrifice: A soldier was attacked and injected with something the hosts had in a needle. Later, while on the run and hiding in a tunnel the soldiers notice that there is a huge pest on his neck that has something green leaking from it and it seems to attract the bugs. The soldiers says that he will prove that he is not one of the hosts then he get of the car lure the bugs away then he use a grande on himself and the bugs.
- I Have Your Wife: When Eun-Sung was captured by Choi who told his wife is at 'the shelter' in order to win to side and find Seong. However, when this failed he started using threats which he fulfilled and that caused hell to be paid for that.
- I Just Want to Be Loved: Miss Seong who has feeling for Eun-Sung and desire him to return her feelings, but he only want to be with his family, his wife and daughter.
- Love-Interest Traitor: Averted. Eun-Sung's wife was injected with the human-bugs hybrid transformation needle then she got kidnapped by the bugs and transformed into their queen. The process greatly affected her mind to the point where she doesn't recognize her family as seen when shown a picture of her and her family she didn't react at all. Finally when her husband find her she try to kill him much to his despair.
- Mama Bear: The nun sister Veronica is this to the children in her care. This was shown when a group of thugs kidnapped some of the children in her care she swore she would kill the kidnappers. Also, Minyoung Lee who was kidnapped and transformed into the black wasps hybrid queen mobilized her whole army after hearing the cries of her own daughter calling out for her. Also, when she saw her husband whom she doesn'trecognize anymore and thought he was a threat to some children the black wasps brought to her she tried to kill him (not the best example, but...).

Moral Event Horizon: Director Choi proved that he is a completely a monster with no chance of redemption when he was willing to use the syringe that case the human-insect hybrid transformation on a the daughter of Eun-Sung in front of her restrained parents before changing his mind and use it on the mother and then threatened to make the transformed mother eat her daughter in front of Eun-Sung. This alone sum up how much Choi can never have any kind of redemption. Hell, to add more fuel to the fire he had been feeding humans to the bugs and was willing to feed the most loyal of his own men to the bugs when he doubt that he was trying to replace him as the leader which caused the man to switch sides. - Manly Tears: Some characters experience this including Eun-Sung.
- Papa Wolf: Eun-Sung doesn't like it when someone is hurting children and will go out of his ways to help the children. When someone tried to bribe him to give him a child who lost her parents he started beating the guy despite the fact that Eun-Sung was a nice guy even to strangers who tried to kill him. Also, Eun-Sung is this to his own daughter as his sole reason to stay alive is to his family and when he finally reunited with them the soldiers of a secret organizations attack with gas and kidnapped both of them and Eun-Sung doesn't waste time in showing them what happens to those who hurt his family.
- My Greatest Failure: When Eun-Sung finally find his family the bastard director Choi hold them hostage and inject his wife with the human-bugs hybrid transformation serum. Eun-Sung managed to free himself, killed Choi's henchmen and go to his family, but the bugs attack and try to take the wife but the soldiers that works for the secret organizations also attacks and take the wife. A fight in the shelter start, Eun-Sung fight for his family and ally himself with someone who promise to help him find his wife. After all that is said and done he couldn't save them no matter how hard he worked and tried. Thankfully, the archer from his group managed to save his daughter and bring her back to him.
- Red Baron: The old man who is part of Eun-Sung's group is called The Dog Man as he is an old merc, hit man and those soldiers who works for the secret organisations were trained by him.
- Redemption Equals Death: Those who sided with Eun-Sung during the fight in the shelter, most of them were killed.

- The End of the World as We Know It: Ever since the appearance of the giant bugs, the black wasps, the whole world is in a state of anarchy, Murder, rape, cultists, secret organizations plotting, betrayal, greed and you name it. The world turned into a hell hole.
- Too Dumb to Live: Many of those who come across the old man (also known as The Dog Man) tend to underestimate him and think of his hand gun to be a toy.

- We Can Rule Together: The Entomologist proposed the idea of ruling the bugs to Miss Seong so he can serve her, however, Miss Seong rejected the idea. He made many attempt to convince her, but he failed. Seeing that he will not succeed, he chose to side with Min-Young after she was transformed into a hybrid queen. Then again he realized that Min-Young have lost her sense of self which ruined his plan.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Corporal Jeong disappears from the plot after the first bug invasion of the tower.
- Would Hurt a Child: Due to the enforced recruitment of capable men into the army but leaving those who have children there are those who kidnapped children after killing their guardian so they can avoid the recruitment. Also, due to the black wasps bugs leaving the children alone they are kidnapped and forced to look for food and other things. The most hated example is when the bastard director Choi used Eun-Sung's daughter as a hostage and would have injected her with a transformation needle show how much of a heartless he is.
- Yandere: Miss Seong have a clear signs of this when she said that she would do anything for Eun-Sung, having feeling for him, tells him that he still have her after his family were taken by the bugs, want him to be with her instead of going to save his family, hiding the call she received due to fearing it could be his wife.
