Eun-Sung Lee

The Main Character of the Webcomic. He just wants to be reunited with his family, but every time he finds them something happens that sapperat them.

• Action Dad: Don't miss with his daughter or he will kick your ass.
• Aint Too Proudto Beg: Eun-Sung begged on his knees The Old Man with him to go and save Miss Seong as he want and have to go to save his family.
• Berserk Button: Eun-Sung don't like it when someone hurt children, especially his daughter, or kill others to take what they have.
• Bewarethe Nice Ones: As time passes.
• Broken Tears: Eun-Sung have them many times.
• Car Fu: Eun-Sung seems to have his own style.
• Character Development: Eun-Sung goes through so much stress and despair through the Webcomic, but that only serves to make him stronger badass.
• Despair Event Horizon: He crossed it so bad after his wife didn't recognise him due to being transformed into a hybrid queen and even tried to kill him. Poor guy who's sole though of being reunited with his family kept him going was so broken and the only thing that kept him moving was making sure that the grenade he has doesn't explode near his wife. Even after all that happened he still want his wife to live.
• Determinator: Eun-Sung is determined to be reunited with his family and he willnot let anything stand in his way. He is probably the biggest determinator in the Webcomic.
• Family Man: The idea of being reunited with his family is what drives him to continue to fight and stay alive.
• Good Smoking, Evil Smoking : Eun-Sung and bastard director Choi are smokers.
• It's All My Fault: He blames himself for being unable to save his family when they were taken by the bugs and [[he blames himself for what happened to his wife (being transformed into a hybrid queen due to Choi injecting her with the human-bugs mutagen) because if he killed Choi long before that his wife would have been fine. And for the latter case he utter the exact words 'It's All My Fault'
• Only Mostly Dead: While being held prisoner by Choi and his thugs and forced to watch as his wife being injected with human-bugs mutagen needle Eun-Sung fake being dead to fool the thugs into realesing him and then start killing them.
• Only Sane Man: Eun-Sung don't lose it like most people and always try to convince others that they need to work together in order to survive.
• Papa Wolf: Those who try to hurt children in front of him will have to deal with him. Also, the thugs who held his daughter hostage and almost injected her with a mutagen then the soldiers who tried to kidnappe her learned the hard way not misswith his family again.
• Smoking Is Cool: Eun-Sung is a smoker.
• You Did Everything You Could: After the bugs took his wife and daughter in front of him the otherstold him it was was not his fault as he did everything he could.

Ji-Eun Seong

A co-worker of Eun-Sung Lee. She has feeling for him despite knowing that he is a married man.

• All Love Is Unrequited: Ji-Eun has a romantic feelings for her superior, Eun-Sung who does not return her feelings as he is married man and a father.
• Berserk Button : Hurting Eun-Sung is one. The other is trying to kill him.
• Broken Tears : She has them some times.
• Character Development : Ji-Eun Seong goes through several of them.
• The Reveal: She is revealed to be a hybrid queen due to having her genes being mixed with thegenes of a queen
• Healing Factor: Comes from being a hybrid queen. Her finger nails got ripped off and then she heal in a seconds.
• I Just Want to Be Loved: Ji-Eun has feeling for Eun-Sung and want him to return her feelings. However, Eun-Sung doesn't have that kind of feelings for her as he want to be with his family.
• Yandere: Miss Seong have a clear signs of this when she said that she would do anything for the MC, having feeling for him, tells him that he still have her after his family were taken by the bugs, want him to be with her instead of going to save his family, hiding the call she received due to fearing it could be his wife.

The Old Man/ The Dog Man

An old man who appeared and helped Eun-Sung during the beginning of the story.

• Cool Old Guy: He is the biggest Badass in the Webcomic.
• Curb-Stomp Battle: Everyone who underestimated him received this. Hell, some of those who don't underestimate him get to receive this too.
• The Dreaded: Those who survive an encounter with him shack in fear when they see him again.
• Hoistby His Own Petard: He takes the knife from two and use it to hurt or kill them.
• Red Baron: Heis an old verten merc and human trafficer who is called The Dog Man.
• The Reveal: he is revealed to be a verten merc and a human tranficer who was hired to find a hybrid queen to sell her. However, much later he revealed that he doesn't want to sell the queen, but he want to be on the side of the strongest queen as he is getting old with little time to live and the world turned into hell he needs to make plans for his 'retirement'. Also, he revealed that the hybrid who were attacking them while they were taking what they need to make a drone in order to find Eun-Sung's wife were trained by him which is why he knew about the tactics they were using and what is the next move they will use.
• Smoking Is Cool : He is a smoker.
• Underestimating Badassery: The old man is always underestimated due to his age.

Corporal Jeong

A soldier who helps Eun-Sung,Ji-Eung, and the Old Man escape Seoul. He and Minyoung are kidnapped by bugs and brought to the tower where he protects her and Hyejin and assists Minyoung in building a ham radio. He disappears from the plot after the bugs invade the tower for the first time.

• Badass: Commits many acts of badassery one of which involves killing a bug with only a pocket knife.
• Driven to Suicide: After being cornered by a bug with only one bullet he decides to end himself instead of being torn apart, but changes his mind at the last second and uses same bullet on the bug.
• Like Brother and Sister:Minyoung establishes with type of relationship with Jeong once they learn more about each other after the radio mission.
• Made of Iron: Gets injuries that'd leave anyone out of commission but easily powers through to help others.
• Nice Guy: Assist Eun-Sun and co. with no hesitance and keeps Minyoung and Hyejin safe on multiple occasions.
• The Bus Came Back:As of Part 3 issue 89 Jeong finally comes back into the story.
• What Happened to the Mouse?:As mentioned above Jeong disappears from the story after the first bug invasion.

Sung-Jae Choi

The director of the company Eun-Sung Lee worked in before the bugs attack. Even before the bugs attack he was always a self centered asshole. He serves as one of the antagonists in the second season.

• Dirty Coward: One of the biggest examples in the series. This guy is willing to abandon and stab anyone in the back to save or benefits himself.
• I Have Your Wife: Choi uses this against Eun-Sung and he stupidly causes himself a great loss because of it.
• It's All About Me: This bastard manipulates the others for his own benefit and once he gets what he wants, has no use for them or thinks they are plotting against him, he will find a way to kill them.
• Manipulative Bastard: For someone with such massive flaws, he survives in the apocalypse for an incredibly long time. Some of that is down to luck, but he's also highly cunning and persuasive. More than once he sees a dramatic change in the situation and immediately figures out how to exploit it.
• Moral Event Horizon: This bastard willingly experimented on humans after they were taken by the bugs, attempted to inject Eun-Sung's daughter with the human-insect mutagenic needle and then injected her mother and threatened the father to make him watch as the transformed mother eat her daughter. Later, he had the daughter kidnapped in an attempt to use her transformed mother and order the one holding her to either stab her with a needle or to snap her finger in order for her to call her mother. Even the one who was holding the girl looked disturbed after hearing him.

Min-Young Lee

The wife of Eun-Sung Lee. She is a kind heart woman with strong motherly instinct. Among those who survived the Black Wasps outbreak she is one of the few people who keep behaving like a human. After being injected with the human-bugs mutagenic needle and then kidnappedby the bugs she was transformed into the black wasps hybrid queen.

• Expy: Min-Young in her transformed hybrid queen and [[spoiler : Queen of Blades]] are very similar. Hell many reader notedit.
• Face–Monster Turn: Averted. Min-Young was injected with the human-bugs mutagenic needle in an effort to protect her daughter. After that she was kidnapped by the black wasps who transformed her into their hybrid queen. Now she can't recognise her husband and even tried to kill him. However, the only thing that she have left from her humanity is her motherly instinct as she seems to be fixed on finding her child, but she does not seem to clearly remember her child.
• Mama Bear: After her transformation into black wasps hybrid queen and having her motherlyinstinct remain intact whenever she sees someone who hurt or threatening a child she will make that person regret it by ending their lives. for example when Choi was decived into trying to use her daughter by making the cry out for her mother, she mobilized her whole army and went to rescue her daughter.
• One-Winged Angel: After being kidnapped and transformed into a hybrid queen.
• Only Mostly Dead: Some thug try to chock her and fake her death then kill him.
• Only Sane Man: She is one of the few people who keep behaving like human should.

Hyejin Lee

The daughter of Eun-Sung and Min-Young Lee.

• Children Are Innocent: She is really sweet innocent child.
• Daddy's Girl : Her parents loves her so much and will do whatever they can to save and protect her.
• Madeof Iron: The kid survived gas bomb, grande explodes near her and car crash. Really made of iron. Poor kid is going to see a lot of psychological doctor in the future.

Sister Veronica

A Badass nun who look out for children in the Post-Apocalypse Seoul.

• Action Girl: She takes the lead for this in the Webcomic.
• Mama Bear: She is very protective to the children in her care and When some thugs kidnapped the children in her care she swore she would kill the kidnappers and judging from the fact that she was seen with the children back in her care she fulfilled her promise.

The Entymologist

An Entymologist who survived the Black Wasps outbreak. He studied the Black Wasps a little and become convinced that he knows how to save the world. After being kidnapped and transformed into a hybrid he make a deal with Eun-Sung Lee. He will find his family for him and Eun-Sung find the cure for him. However, he change his mind later and decided to stay as a hybrid as he sees it as the body he need to survive in the current world. Also, he want Ji-Eun Seong to fully transform into a queen so he can serve her, buthe seems to have settled with trying to serve the newly transformed Min-Young Lee.Later, he started to manipulate everyone, including Choi, to get what he want.

• Body Horror: This was his thoughts about his body after being turned into a hybrid. However, after seeing it as the body that is more fit to survive in the current world he started tolike it and decided to stay that way instead of taking the cure.
• Cockroaches Will Rulethe Earth: He believes that the ruler of Earth always changing and now it is the bugs turn to rule.
• Face–Heel Turn: At first he wanted to save humanity, get the cure and return to be human again. However, he changed his mind and started to work against Eun-Sung Lee and scheming to fully transform Ji-Eun Seong into a hybrid queen.
• Going Native: He started to like being a hybrid.
• Healing Factor: When his fingers were cut off other grow back in their place. Later, he lost a hand and it grows back.
• We Can Rule Together: He tries to convince Ji-Eun Seong to fully become a queen and rules the Black Wasps so he can serves her and he typically fail as she doesnot want to become a hybrid queen.

Archer

An Archer girl who joined Eun-Sung group in order to find her father. After seeing her father as hybrid and being killed by Eun-Sung she promised himthat if they find his family and they are no longer humans she will be the one to kill them. Thankfully she didn't do it after seeing Hyejin calling out for her mother.

• Tragic Dream: She was trained by her father. They were aiming for the Olympics before before the world turned into a nightmare.

The Black Wasps

An artificially engineered insect. Created to be the strongest insect in order to give humanity control over the strongest insect due to an environmental future crisis. However, those who created them were stupid enough to release them on every major city in the world.

• The Assimilator: The Black Wasps start to turn the humans into hybrids which causes Body Horror for most if not all of the unfortunate humans who werecaptured and transformed.
• Even Evil Has Standards: Subverted. The Black Wasps don't attack children, but this isn't for anything good it's because children won't be good as food or slaves. Much later it was revealed that even these insect value maternal instinctswhich is why they kidnapped and transformed Min-Young into their hybrid queen after she started emitting powerful maternal pheromone.
• Genius Bruiser: Thesee bugs are getting smarter as time passes.
• Madeof Iron: These bugs really need so much beaten to stay down especially the big ones.
• Your Days Are Numbered: The Black Wasps lifespan is short the oldest among them die of old age in two to three months. Thus they turn humans into hybrids as the life of a human seems to be an eternity for them and for that they seek to transform a human into their queen as the pure queen don't live more than 4-6 months and since the longer the queen lives the hive will keep thriving and gain more territory by conquering other hives.
