Eddie's Rap Channel is a YouTube channel featuring rap battles inspired by Epic Rap Battles of History. It has two main series: ANIMATION VS ANYTHING, which features cartoon characters against non-cartoon characters, and Urban Legend Rap Battles, which includes battles between cryptids and other urban legends.

Tropes:

  • Art Shift: When Rick and Morty travel through various portals into rap battles from other channels, they take on the art style used by those channels.
  • Chupacabra: Appears in "El Chupacabra vs Mothman".
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: The channel's early videos were part of the series Pokemon vs Anything which was eventually phased out in favor of ANIMATION VS ANYTHING and Urban Legend Rap Battles.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: "Tricky the Clown vs Springtrap" sees Tricky refer to Scott Cawthon's political donations as "some fucked up causes"; meanwhile, Springtrap declares that'd never groom children, unlike some in the Madness Combat fandom.
  • Evil vs. Evil: "Light Yagami vs Monika", and "Tricky the Clown vs Springtrap".
  • Friendly Enemy: In the ending shot of "Lofi Girl vs Cassette Girl", the two opponents are seen hanging out with each other in a pencil sketch.
  • I Banged Your Mom: In "The Duck Song vs Untitled Goose Game", the goose claims multiple times to have had sex with the duck's mother.
  • Medium Blending: "Yakko Warner vs Kermit the Frog" features both animation and puppetry.
  • The Mothman: Appears in "El Chupacabra vs Mothman".
  • Our Cryptids Are More Mysterious: Some cryptids, such as Mothman, appear in Urban Legend Rap Battles.
  • Passive-Aggressive Kombat: Most of Ralsei's insults against Megumin are passive-aggressive, fitting for a pacifistic character.
  • Running Gag: Multiple videos feature a stock image of a child wearing a t-shirt edited to say that he kins one of the characters in the battle.
  • Shout-Out:
    • In "Rick Sanchez vs. GLaDOS", Rick travels through various portals where rappers from other rap battle channels make cameo appearances. They include:
      • "Peter Griffin vs. Homer Simpson" by Freshy Kanal. Rick lands on Homer, turning him into a yellow puddle while Peter watches on. As Peter notices Rick and Morty leave through a portal, his head turns into a surprised Brian.
      • "Kirby vs. The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Freshy Kanal. Rick spins the Very Hungry Caterpillar around, with Morty setting him straight again. Kirby then has his star kicked off by Rick, sending him tumbling to the floor.
      • "GLaDOS vs Neo" by UBERocity.
      • "Shaggy vs Crazy Dave" by this channel. Unlike the previous examples, only Shaggy makes an appearance in this scene.
    • This exchange between Spongebob and Squidward in "Captain Underpants vs Spongebob Squarepants" references a similar line from Epic Rap Battles of History's "Gandhi vs. Martin Luther King Jr.".
      Squidward: No shoes or shirt...
Spongebob: But we're still gonna serve ya!
  • Stealth Insult: "Captain Underpants vs Spongebob Squarepants" features a set of these directed at Spongebob's show, masquerading as compliments.
Your show's too mighty for networks to take it down!
Strong enough to Jump The Shark In a Single Bound!
  • Take That!: In "Rick Sanchez vs. GLaDOS", GLaDOS mockingly calls Rick "Fortnite's Dopest Dancer", similtaneously making fun of Fortnite and Epic Rap Battles of History, where the much mocked line originated.
  • Urban Legends: Urban Legend Rap Battles feature various urban legends rapping against each other.
