Absurdlyawesome is a channel on YouTube that uploads humorous Transformers stop motions.

Recurring series on Absurdlyawesome's channel include:

  • Random Transformers Skits: A series that features clips of Transformers, and other characters, doing random things.
  • Optimus Prime Joins Facebook: A three-part series where, as the title suggests, Optimus Prime joins Facebook and quickly becomes addicted to it.
  • The Next Generation One: A series depicting the G1 Autobots in their fight against the Decepticons, now under the leadership of Bludgeon.
  • The Absurdly Awesome Finale: A Crisis Crossover between the various Transformer universes depicted in Absurdlyawesome's videos that serves as an ending to his various series.

Tropes:

  • All Your Base Are Belong to Us:
    • In "The Next Generation One", the Decepticons launch an invasion of the Autobots base thanks to intel from Soundwave.
    • The Movie Decepticons later attack the Movie Autobots base after G1 Starscream tells them where it is.
  • Big Bad:
    • Bludgeon serves as the primary threat in "The Next Generation One", taking charge of the Decepticons after Megatron suffers a Villainous BSoD and leaves the group.
    • The Absurdly Awesome Finale has G1 Starscream as the main villain.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Optimus Prime shows up to save the Autobots and defeat Megatron after they're all incapacitated in "Megatron Keeps Trying".
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Optimus Prime may have Cloudcuckoolander tendencies, but he can be a competent leader when he needs to be.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: The G1 Decepticons, but especially Bludgeon.
  • Crisis Crossover: The Absurdly Awesome Finale features a crossover between the G1 universe, the Movie Universe and the Aligned Universe.
  • Demonic Possession:
    • The Fallen possesses Mudflap in "Revenge of the Fallen Fallen".
    • G1 Starscream's ghost tricks Movie Starscream into putting on his parts, allowing G1 Starscream to possess him.
  • Demoted to Dragon: Movie Megatron and Sentinel Prime become Co-Dragons to Starscream after he frees them.
  • Fake Defector: While Megatron's Heel–Face Turn was genuine, Soundwave only joined the Autobots as a ruse.
  • Heel–Face Turn:
    • Drift joins the Autobots at the start of The Next Generation One.
    • Later on Megatron and Soundwave join the Autobots, though Soundwave only joined them as a ruse.
    • Ratbat later teams up with the Autobots to get revenge on Bludgeon for killing Blitzwing.
    • After they're defeated, all of the G1 Decepticons turn good and make peace with the Autobots.
  • In-Series Nickname: The three Optimus Primes all give each other names to differentiate one another once they meet. G1 Optimus Prime gets nicknamed "Blocky Prime" for his blocky and simplistic shape, Movie Optimus Prime gets nicknamed "Jagged Prime" for all his jagged parts and Prime Optimus Prime gets nicknamed "Slick Prime" for how slick he looks.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Optimus Prime gives one to Sentinel Prime while he's captured explaining why his plan wouldn't work.
    Sentinel: It was the only way to rebuild Cybertron.
    Optimus: Really? Bring humans to a planet thrice the size of their own that has neither air nor survivable temperatures?! You'll get more company soon, then I'll decide whether you live or di-
    Sentinel: You're right. That plan makes absolutely no sense. I betrayed the Autobots for no reason!
  • The Starscream: Take a guess...
    • In "Starscream Starts Trying", Starscream traps Megatron (who had just been reduced to head) claims Megatron is dead and takes control of the Decepticons.
    • Ironically, at one point Starscream becomes The Starscream to his movie counterpart.
  • Those Two Guys: Skidz and Mudflap are never seen without each other.
  • Troll: G1 Starscream. He goes out of his way to creep out and annoy Megatron. Not even death can stop Starscream from trolling Megatron.
  • Undying Loyalty: Soundwave to Megatron. When Megatron decides to leave the Decepticons, Soundwave follows him. Subverted however, when Megatron joins the Autobots, as at that point Soundwave realizes that his loyalty lies not with Megatron, but with the Decepticon cause itself.
  • Villainous Rescue: Megatron unintentionally saves the Autobots in "Starscream Starts Trying" when he shows up to retake control of the Decepticons, in the process undoing the Decepticons' victory over the Autobots. Once he realizes what he's done, he quits.
