Mulligrubs-OCT
is an Original Character Tournament hosted by Shainbow on DeviantArt. Other judges are Juan-CN, ZeekSays, KaylaBirdee and TheFaceInTheTree.
The story takes place in the town Mulligrubs, a dark, gloomy town populated by strange creatures. One of them, a living ragdoll called Phil Flumber Diddle, started spreading envelopes to other worlds, inviting people to join a tournament in his town. The competitors then will have to find the truths to certain secrets, and the winner will win the answer of a secret of their choice.
The tournament has just closed its doors after a successful run as of October 5th, 2016.
The winner was Aanzhen with Julian and Jacklyn (Entries start here), second place going to Kjk-comics with Phron (Entries start here) however, reading the other entries is recommended as the many participants created wonderful stories.

This OCT provides examples of:
- April Fools' Day: Many participants in round 3, including the host, posted Gag strips and animations on April 1st 2016. Which included but not limited to:
- Badass Normal: Those without power special powers were able to withstand some of the unsuspected dangers lurking on the streets.
- Bittersweet Ending: Over the course of the tournament the situations grew more bleak however most of the characters come out of the horror on top. However, Dauber dies as a result of bringing Phil back to life.
- Cooking Duel: The participants are on a scavenger hunt for the many secrets hidden in the town. As such, rules state that the first to find the assigned secret's proof to a judge wins
- Darkest Hour: Many, many times in the later Round entries.
- The animal is completely unleashed in KJK's round 4 and it's devastation is seen onto the final round.
- Hans falls gravely ill and weak shortly after his friendship is rejected by Julian and Jackie. Painfully asking, why?
- Jackie seemingly falls into a coma while Julian flat out runs away from everyone in a fit of anger and despair.
- Anything round 3 and onward, honestly.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Just because the town is constantly covered in a dreary dark fog doesn't mean the people and creatures inhabiting it are. At least not when "The Animal" is invovled...
- Demonic Possession: Ranging from a man containing a eldritch monster within him to a teddy bear with a "we are legion" situation.
- Dream Stealer: The bus driver in captian-cardshark's Round 3 is revealed to be this and crosses the line of Nightmare fuel.
- Elseworld: The many interpretations of the town tend to be this.
- Gardenof Evil: Quincy's round 1 has him explore the garden to find out what the mysterious lights are. He finds out the hard way that they don't like being disturbed and pays for it.
- Humanity Ensues
- Monster Town: Whatever the denizens of Mulligrubs are, they most certainly are not humans. To say nothing about the judges!
- Ominous Fog: The-ever-so present fog enveloping the town.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Enzo and Vinny have some of the most colorful dialogue compared to the rest of the competitors.
- Town with a Dark Secret: A town inhabited by dark, shadowy humanoid creatures, which is LITERALLY full of secrets!
- Two Beings, One Body: Later revealed to be the case with Dauber
- The Reveal: Round 3 has this in droves.
- Enzo is the future Emperor of his kind and is now a target of the current Emperor. (Who is implied to be not so nice.)
- Pender-lyn knows where her children are and has been in denial the whole time.
- The heart Pollyanna found belongs to the "The Animal".
- Turns out The old Woman who Julian and Jackie "ran away" from has been hunting the kids down. And she is not happy to see them.
- Wham Episode: All submitted round 3 entries was this one way or another.
