This show provides examples of:
- Animated Shock Comedy: This show is filled with swearing, violence, and sex jokes galore. In addition to that, there are constant drug references and bodily functions on display also.
- Battle Couple: Violy and Jahari are always ready to fight, shoot, and defend each other, even if they don't always win.
- Big Damn Movie: Dorm 420
- Black Comedy: The show often plays up violent acts, as well as characters screwing each other over, for laughs.
- Black Comedy Cannibalism: Little Bill's girlfriend is a ruthless cannibal who eats people at random. She is nice and cordial with the main cast, however
- Bond One-Liner: Jahari in "The Chuck E. Cheese Dance Battle of Death" after killing the mob bosses with pizza
"Huh, glad I'm not allergic to salsa."
- Censored Title: "The Chuck E. Cheese Dance Battle of Death" was originally named "How to Dance Your Fucking Ass Off". The original title is used on the archive.org upload though.
- Comedic Sociopathy: Violy & Jahari thrive on this, with a lot of the humor being drawn from them be selfish and uncaring to those around them, unless they share similar interests.
- Couch Gag: In the theme song, Violy and Jahari's phrases about Mrs. Karen on the chalkboard changes every episode.
- Cluster F-Bomb: Ms. Karen in "The Chuck E. Cheese Dance Battle of Death".
- Crossover: Several characters from Zara And Erika make appearances. There's also the Summer Break special with Zara & Erika as well.
- Dance-Off: In the aptly titled "The Chuck E. Cheese Dance Battle of Death".
- Denser and Wackier: This show is a bit more fast paced and wackier than most series from Michael Mixer Mason. It also stretches reality a bit more.
- Everybody Has Lots of Sex: Yes, even some of the teachers.
- Gis Syndrome: Live action videos and backgrounds are used in this series.
- Limited Animation: Well, it is made with Vyond.
- My Eyes Are Up Here: Violy does this to Alan in "Bad Partners" and "The Answer Cafe"
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Every character, especially Ms. Karen & Erikasha.
- Ruder and Cruder: Since the "Summer Break" crossover special is considered an episode of Zara & Erika, which has a higher age rating, the characters are given even more free reign to swear and make explicit sexual jokes. For example, the scene where Violy and Jahari get the semen-covered party tickets from Little Bill would not be allowed on this series.
- Smoking Is Cool: Most of the characters, including the main couple, are always seen with a cigarette, a blunt, or even both.
- The Ditz: Little Bill falls into this at times.
- Toilet Humor: Every now and then.
- The Stoner: The main characters never go a day without smoking weed.
- Vulgar Humor: The entire series runs on this.
