"Hey, what's up, my garlics."
— Wario's catchphrase, used at the beginning of some of the videos.

Living With Wario is a series of videos starring Wario in a vlog-like fashion. These videos started out as animations animated by Frank Stringini of The Stringini Bros., with Wario voiced by Marlon Reid, creator of the then-called Games And Wario channel. As a result, Wario has a minor Adaptation Dye-Job, where the emblem on his hat reads "GW" instead of his traditional "W".

There are seven videos in the series, five of which are animated by Frank Stringini. However, only three of them are animated in his traditional art style, one of which does not use the Living With Wario title (though it still opens with Wario's catchphrase) titled Wario Heist Brothers, which guest-stars Waluigi. These are also the best known animations in the series.

The exact original upload date of the videos is unknown, but they are believed to have been uploaded to YouTube in late 2016. They began to gain more traction when YouTube's infamous COPPA regulations lead to Marlon removing many of the videos in the series in late 2019, likely to avoid them hurting the channel. This also lead to the Games And Wario channel being rebranded into Marlon Gaming Nation, effectively putting an end to any usage of Wario on the channel.

Eventually, after months of being presumed lost medianote , Marlon himself reuploaded the videos in June 2020 under a channel dedicated to hosting the videos. Frank Stringini would follow suit with two of the videos later that month as well. Around this time, however, was also when the videos (mainly Episode 2) would reach Memetic Mutation status. The rest is pretty much history.

Marlon has gone out of his way to express gratitude for the recognition he got on the videos when they were reuploaded. While there's definitely no sign of the series being continued, in June 2021, the Stringini Bros. did end up bringing Wario back on their channel as a random method of promoting a then-upcoming video. However, unlike the other shorts, Wario is not voiced by Marlon Reid.

Look guys, look! It's one of my greatest achievement: Tropes Living With Wario provides examples of, HA HA HA!

  • 2D Visuals, 3D Effects: Episode 2 and Wario Heist Brothers heavily invoke this.
  • Adaptation Dye-Job: As mentioned above, the shorts animated in Frank's art style have the emblem on Wario's hat read "GW" due to these videos being made for the Games and Wario channel.
  • Adaptational Ugliness: Wario's features tend to look a bit more grotesque than usual in the animated videos. This is most apparent with how his eyes constantly shift in Episodes 1 and 2.
  • Big "NO!": Waluigi lets out three of these in Wario Heist Brothers.
  • Bowel-Breaking Bricks: Episode 3 sort of has this with Wario defecating nothing but coins as he's on the toilet. Also doubles as Solid Gold Poop.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: In Episode 1, Wario straight up mentions how Frank Stringini is the one who animated him for the video as a means to credit him.
  • Brick Joke: The premise of Episode 3 is this, as Wario hastily said at the end of the previous episode that the next one would be with him using the toilet.
  • Catchphrase: Wario uses one of these two at the start of each episode:
    Wario: What's up, my garlics?
    Wario: Hey guys, Wario here.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: Heavily implied in Episode 2 when Wario begins to mention he can feel "the stuff" coming down his buttocks. Episode 3 is pretty much this with how Wario is using the toilet while he still has his overalls on.
  • Creator Cameo: The logo for The Stringini Bros. appears on one of the posters in Episode 2, the cover of the book Wario is reading in Episode 3, and is hidden on a wall at the beginning of Wario Heist Brothers.
  • Dartboard of Hate: Or rather, toilet paper of hate, as Wario has a roll of toilet paper with Mario's face printed on it in Episode 3.
  • Deranged Animation: The way the characters are animated invokes this trope, courtesy of Frank Stringini's art style.
  • Gainax Ending: The June 2021 video ends with a giant, eel-like fish creeping up on everyone from behind and quickly swallowing them all, one by one, before swimming back into the bathroom the characters came from.
  • Gasshole: Played straight with Wario, especially considering the moments he farts in each episode.
  • Giant Space Flea from Nowhere: The June 2021 video has a giant eel-like fish appearing from behind everyone and gobbling them up.
  • Grossout Show: Some of the jokes border on this territory, but Episode 2 takes the cake with Wario increasingly showing incontinence on screen. This is also likely because The Stringini Bros.' content already deals with this trope a lot.
  • Hypocritical Humor: In Wario Heist Brothers, Wario asks Waluigi for a bomb he was tasked to bring so they can break into a building. When Waluigi says he forgot it, Wario scolds him but then proceeds to break through the wall with his Shoulder Bash, contradicting the need to even bring a bomb in the first place.
  • Jerkass to One: While he is consistently friendly with the viewers in every episode, Wario acts rather abusive to Waluigi in Wario Heist Brothers, ranging from constantly insulting him, Wario contradicting his own request for a bomb, and ultimately using Waluigi to break open a safe that presumably belongs to Mario, gravely injuring Waluigi in the process despite his protests, and even farts on him after that. Wario seems to lampshade this at the end though.
Waluigi: Wario, you hurted me...you're so short and fat, and greedy!
Wario: And that's what makes me better than Mario and everybody else. I am the best! And I, I am the true nemesis of the Mario Bros., including you, you stupid skinny plunger. I should use you to plunge my toilet, you stupid pathetic fool!
  • Mythology Gag:
    • In Wario Heist Brothers, Wario uses his Shoulder Bash from the Wario Land series to bust down a wall...despite initially complaining to Waluigi for not bringing a bomb with him to blow it up.
    • The way Spongebob and Patrick appear, as well as the giant eel-like fish in the June 2021 video are all from previous Surreal Humor videos Frank Stringini previously uploaded on his personal channel.
  • Oddball in the Series:
    • Episode 3 is a VR video, animated in 3D as well.
    • Living With Wario Pizza Recipe! and Living With Wario House Adventure!!! are not animated by Frank Stringini. The former is reminiscent of an audio drama with visuals, and the latter is filmed in a house with a Wario plush toy.
    • While Living With Wario Flying Dragon With Princess Peach!!! is animated by Frank Stringini, it's not animated in his traditional art style and instead manipulates existing imagery of Mario characters.
    • Even though it's one big Call-Back to Episode 2, even the June 2021 video is this for various reasons. For one thing, not only are Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Toad with Wario, but so are heavily deformed versions of Spongebob and Patrick, and they all emerge from the bathroom together. Second, the hallway is now mysteriously flooded, and the portraits aren't the same as in Episode 2. Lastly, unlike all the other animations, Wario does not fart in the video, and he's not voiced by Marlon Reid this time.
  • Once per Episode: Wario farts at one point in every animated short.
  • Potty Emergency: In Episode 2, Wario gets an upset stomach from eating an onion and rotten garlic salad and tries to walk to his bathroom. Unfortunately for him it's at the end of a really long hallway and he gets really close to soiling his pants before reaching the toilet.
    • The June 2021 video with the same setting again has Wario in this situation, except it's inexplicably underwater this time, and he and everyone else accompanying him are eaten by a giant eel-like fish before he can even reach the bathroom.
  • Public Domain Soundtrack: Episode 2 notably uses songs by Kevin MacLeod: Fast Talkin' and Hush
  • Shout-Out:
    • Episode 2 has various video games starring Wario, such as Wario Land 4 and Wario World (and even some non-Nintendo games) appear on the portraits in his hallway.
Wario: But um, look guys, look! It's one of my greatest achievement: Wario Land 4 on the Game Boy Advance! Ha ha ha!
  • Sickening "Crunch!": Once Wario tosses Waluigi aside after using him to break the safe in Wario Heist Brothers, his mangled body lands with this.
  • The Cameo: Waluigi makes a cameo in Episode 3, with his head poking out of a hole in the wall.
  • Toilet Humour: Similar tropes on this page pretty much overlap with this one, as every episode invokes this one way or another.

Bye guys, bye, don't forget to subscribe! And the next episode will be with me getting lost in TV Tropes! Oh my goodness, guys, it's running down my buttocks! AHH, I NEED TO GET TO THE BATHROOM! IT'S COMING, IT'S COMING! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH—
