WMG / The Goes Wrong Show

Predictions for future seasons
  • Cold War thriller
  • Mafia drama set in New York
  • Fractured Fairy Tale
  • A family musical
  • A sitcom of the 50s or the 80s.
  • A bushranger story with Cornley mangling Australian accents.
  • Campy Classic Era Doctor Who-style Sci-Fi
  • A Wild West show
  • A disaster play
    • Ironically everything will go more swimmingly there, much to Cornley's delighted relief.
    • On the flipside, what's supposed to break apart or go wrong doesn't
      • We already saw a glimpse of this in "The Cornley Drama Festival Part 2", where the scripted mishaps in Annie's farce don't go off as expected (i.e. Max being unable to "accidentally" smash a window, or the cast's trousers not being blown off at the right time).
  • A superhero play
    • Obviously not an actual Marvel or DC production, even if Mischief could secure the rights, the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society certainly could not, so they'd likely end up portraying some kind of amalgamated expies of popular heroes (no doubt leading to some of the cast mistakenly referring to the real characters instead)
    • Why should they do this? For one, the magnificent hammyness that is Robert Grove needs to portray a supervillain at some point. For two someone as serious as Chris in colourful spandex is a recipe for comedey. Third, a genre whose previous attempts on stage have already be beset by disaster is the recipe for a perfect storm of calamity.
  • A monster show, with naturally a shoddy costume.

Predictions for future mishaps
  • A production will require characters to draw and erase images on a dry erase board. Unfortunately, the actors are given permanent markers, so they have to keep drawing over the previous images.
  • There's a power cut in the studio, requiring the usage of a petrol generator to run the lights, cameras, and sound equipment.
  • The studio cameras are repossessed or in repairs, so the crew have to resort to using older, 576i cameras.
  • During a production with a beach scene, the crew attempts to put real sand on the stage, but do to a post office mixup, the stage is instead lined with sand paper, leading to injuries when the cast attempt to make sand angels.
  • In the above-mentioned Fractured Fairy Tale, the cast will attempt to recreate a centaur using two actors in separate costumes, and lighting designed to hide the actor playing the hind legs (a la Harry Potter and the Cursed Child). Unfortunately, the studio's emergency lights snap on, revealing the hind-leg actor.
  • During the above-mentioned Wild West show, none of the cast members can perform a proper quick-draw. This can progress throughout the show, with each actor first ripping off their holster, then their belt, then their trousers.

Storylines for season 2
  • After hearing about his wife leaving him and him living in his car, we'll get more coverage in Robert's troubled lifestyle.
  • Given they were engaged before, Sandra refusing to kiss Max implied some kind of falling out or drama occurred, one that we'll most likely hear about.
    • None of these ultimately happened. However a short with the characters about visiting the theatre during COVID did show that Robert has had to move in with Dennis.

The Cornley Society is secretly a clan of vampires, elves, aliens, or other Really 700 Years Old immortals

Someone will hire Cornley and bank on them being disastrous
They're trying to pull a fraud scheme with it. However, either the play will either go far wrong even for what the fraudsters intended, or it turns out a success for once.
The BBC expect Cornley to do poorly, and market all their mistakes as being just All Part of the Show
