WMG / The Case Study of Vanitas

Go To

Jeanne's parents never betrayed Lord Ruthven
Both were falsely accused by Lord Ruthven so that Jeanne would be forced to become his Bourreau.

No. 70 will be a future antagonist or rival for Vanitas
For some reason, unlike Vanitas and Mikhail, No. 70 walked freely around the lab. Which opens the door to the possibility that they have escaped after Luna attacked the lab.
  • As for the fact that they are never mentioned by Dr. Moreau. He may have assumed they were killed during the attack or simply didn't consider them relevant, focusing his attention on Vanitas and Mikhail.
  • They will have the ability to alter formulas, due to the Dr. Moreau successfully transplanting them a vampire eye.

The mysterious girl Archivist will be an evil counterpart to Noé
  • She will even form a duet with No. 70, a former test subject of Dr. Moreau just like Vanitas.

Vanitas´s blood has special properties
Vanitas is aware of those properties; Or at least he's suspicious, and that's why he insisted that Jeanne drink her blood. As an experiment of the scope of such properties. Possibly:
  • Counteracts mind control.
  • Allows a vampire to withstand bloodlust much longer.
  • Attenuates the effects of the Curse.
  • If a vampire drinks Vanitas' blood, their body creates some kind of antibodies.

Luna was sibling of the Queen Faustina
Centuries ago there was a conspiracy to prevent a vampire born under the Blue Moon from aspiring to the throne. Vampires have no sympathy for those born in circumstances that are considered to be an "evil omen". Why would it be any different with a member of royalty?

Jeanne is a clone created from the blood of Queen Faustina

Queen Faustina's current condition is a case of Laser-Guided Karma
Faustina was the true creator of the Malnomen and managed to become queen by using this ability to subdue and manipulate all other vampires. Lord Ruthven discovered what Faustina was doing and learned this very ability on his own. He eventually caused Faustina's Malnomen and has been using her ever since in his plot to usurp the throne.
  • Luna was the only vampire capable of creating a cure, therefore they were slandered so that the vampires of the Crimson Moon would not trust them.
