If they planned on making a second movie, it would be the next logical step. At the end, Clint asked Present to help him crack the case for the next person they plan on making better. Present explains she's a woman who had her heartbroken in her early twenties. That appears to be the age Clint and Nora dated.Tiny Tim's name wasn't Tiny Tim.
It was just a name constructed by Dickens for the published story.- According to IMDb's first Trivia entry:

Present/Scrooge and later Clint both had their lives changed by spirits of Christmas. It'd make sense for them to choose the ex jerks for it because they'd have personal experience.Every adaption following someone other than Scrooge is canon.
They're all just adaptions of someone else's journey.
