Hutch is some degree of Super-Soldier
Probably not to the level of, say, Captain America. More like the Treadstone/Blackbriar/Lark programs from Jason Bourne. Notice how one of the thugs on the bus hits Hutch in the back of the head and actually recoils in pain, like it hurt him more than Hutch, or how two (relatively) minor hits to the face were sufficient to shatter the other guy's teeth. Add in the usual action movie standards like being able to shake off noticeable wounds like knife stabs, gun shots, and blunt force trauma and still fight at peak capacity would point to something a little more than just a black ops killer. Perhaps "Nobody" is the name of the program, and subsequently became his codename?

  • The skull is home to some pretty hard bones in the body; if you were to punch incorrectly, it would hurt your hand, and those bus guys were obviously not seasoned fighters like Hutch. Secondly, a man of decent strength could knock out another man's teeth; this is why boxers have mouth guards. Third? I'd chock up being able to fight at peak condition even with wounds up to adrenaline.
    • To add, the man who had his teeth busted out was the one who Hutch smacked with his watch wrapped around his fist. So it wasn't just a punch, it was being smacked in the face with a hard metal object that busted his teeth.

Hutch is who Jimmy McGill became next

After Gene.

Hutch is who Jimmy McGill was first

We meet Jimmy when he already looks pretty old, has a nasty past behind him and wants to start again to become a lawyer. Maybe Slippin' Jimmy got into more than just conman escapades... Plus this would explain how his first wife made off with his father!

Nobody takes place in the same universe as the John Wick films.

"Auditors" are the people the US Government send in to take out rogue assassins who break the gentleman's agreement between the world of The Continental and The High Table and law enforcement and kill civilians.
