     Cameos

There will be a multiverse story or arc.
This could be an excuse to have Lunella encounter Uatu and other characters from the proper Marvel Cinematic Universe, or even characters from other Disney Television Animation shows like The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Gravity Falls, Phineas and Ferb, Amphibia, DuckTales (2017), Big Hero 6: The Series, Big City Greens, Star vs. the Forces of Evil, and The Owl House. They could even show up in a Secret Wars scenario.
  • When asked about this in a Reddit AMA, Steve Loter said that there are plans for something like it, but it's too early to say anything else.

Other potential Marvel characters Lunella could encounter:

Heroes:

Villains:

  • Wilson Fisk / The Kingpin
  • Lonnie Lincoln / Tombstone
  • The Wrecking Crew
  • Arcade
  • Princess Fisk
  • Thanos
  • Doctor Doom
  • Ultron
  • Sauron: Makes sense for one archosaur to fight another.
  • Stegron - For the same reasons as Sauron, only he's a true dinosaur.
  • Any number of Symbiotes, given that one already appeared in episode 2.
  • The Killer Folk, in a similar manner as Moon Boy above.
  • The Pride
  • M.O.D.O.K.
  • The Roxxon Company
  • Norman Osborn / Green Goblin
  • The Hypno-Hustler
  • Dirk Anger

The show will mainly focus on using lesser known Marvel characters.
Considering that so far, the show has made use of more obscure Marvel characters like Aftershock and Devos the Devastator, the rest of series will continue to follow this patterns. More well known Marvel heroes and villains will, at most, only feature in brief cameos or just be referenced in dialogue like the Avengers were in the first episode.

    Season 1
Moon Girl will be subject to Adaptational Nice Guy (or Girl as it were) in the cartoon.
In the comics should could infamously be a bratty Insufferable Genius to intolerable degrees, but perhaps here she will go either two ways:
  • 1. She is a perfectly humble character.
  • 2. She starts out insufferable, but gains Character Development that grows her out of such.
Confirmed. Lunella is much less of a bratty, insufferable genius and more of an outgoing kid who happens to be a genius.

There will be a version of the Secret Wars during the show as a season/series finale, special or TV movie.
In the comics, the Beyonder was responsible for the creation of Battleworld, so who’s to say that won’t happen here?

The show will reference feathered dinosaurs.
Especially if it introduces Devil Girl and Moon Dinosaur, the latter being a feathered tyrannosaur. And also if they bring in the Runaways, with Old Lace being given feathers like in her more recent appearances.
  • Confirmed for Moon Dinosaur who is feathered as in the comics.

Elements from the show will be integrated into the comics
Lunella's grandparents and friend Casey will get the Canon Immigrant treatment, her costume as Moon Girl and general appearance will be made to more closely match the cartoon, and the Beyonder could also start to show up more in stories featuring Moon Girl or vice versa. If any of the seemingly brand new villains turn out to be obscure preexisting comics characters, they could also be given designs lifted from the series and be acknowledged as having become enemies of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

…But she will not be a mutant. Instead, she'll simply be human. Here's why; Part of the mission statement of the show is to depict a young black, female genius, and chalking up Lunella's talents to her being a mutant or an inhuman may undermine it. Plus, it's easier to have her be a prodigy from an otherwise normal, relatable family without overcomplicating her origin.
  • And if she does switch bodies with DD as she does in the comics, it will be through some other means, not Inhuman powers.
    • A description of an upcoming episode indicates w that Lunella and Devil will switch bodies thanks to an invention of Lunella's. Stand by for confirmation…
  • Confirmed on both counts: Lunella is a human and her mind-switching with Devil is a mind reading device gone wrong.

Devil will be part of some dark prophecy or doomsday plot.
His dinosaur name is “Terrifying Fire Beast Who Will Bring About The End of All Things”. That pretty much implies he has a dark destiny ala Hellboy that Lunella will have to help him avert.
  • Needless to say, Mephisto, Doctor Strange, and other entities from the magic side of the Marvel Universe will show up.
  • In the episode "Teacher's Pet", Devil's morning meditation tape mentions him and him alone being in control of his destiny. This may be foreshadowing.

Based on the knowing smile she gives her during the climax of the pilot, it feels like she’s put two and two together.
  • Confirmed.

The fate of the original Moon Girl.
  • She could be trapped in another dimension because of her own portal generator like Abigail from Big Hero 6.
  • There could have been a massive coverup courtesy of the government. S.H.I.E.L.D. could be involved.
  • She was corrupted and turned evil.
  • The Beyonder or a related cosmic entity could be involved.
  • Lunella as a result of time travel.
    • Jossed. Mimi is the original Moon Girl.

The original Moon Girl is an Inhuman.
To serve as a Mythology Gag and as a foil to Lunella, who is naturally gifted in comparison to the first Moon Girl being born with superpowers.
  • Jossed.

This may seem quite random, but May Calamawy is among the announced guest voices for the show. Since Cobie Smulders has already been confirmed to be reprising her role as Maria Hill in this show, it could be possible that Calamawy is doing the same with her own on-screen MCU TV character.
  • Calamawy voiced Fawzia in "Goodnight, Moon Girl", but it's still possible for Layla to appear.

Synphonator belongs to a subspecies of symbiotes.
It is quite different from other symbiotes, having flat teeth, small eyes (that have pupils before getting a power boost), has eyebrows, and actually gets stronger from Devil's roar. So maybe this is a variant of the species Knull cooked up that got overshadowed by its cousins.

Aftershock will return and become a permeant recurring villain.
She's has too much potential to just disappear from the show, especially since it only started. It would make sense if she eventually returns from the LES's power grid, possibly even more powerful from being in there for a while, and will become a permeant part of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur's Rogues Gallery.

An Evil Counterpart to Lunella will show up.
They'll be an incredibly nasty Insufferable Genius of a brat who disrespects and talks down to everyone around them, seeing them as idiots who can't match their own intelligence, thus entitling them to do whatever they want, in contrast to Lunella's more humble, caring, and down to earth personality. Ironically that'll make them much like Moon Girl herself in the comics, only with their negative treats dialed up to become a Corrupted Character Copy.
  • Also to Contrast Lunella being Moon Girl, this villain kid could be Sun-themed.
  • OP also suggests they could be a white boy in contrast to Lunella's black girl.
  • Also also: They'll also have an Evil Counterpart to Devil as well, perhaps a large primate to contrast with the former's saurian nature, and the kid and ape both hate one another unlike Lunella and Devil.
  • Or maybe a saber-toothed tiger.
  • This may have been confirmed in "Skip This Ad…olescense", as we briefly see a clone of Lunella (or perhaps the comics character of Devil Girl) with a darker colour scheme.

Possible Future Villains in Season 2.
With there being new villains in the series, it is possible that new villains will appear in Season 2.
  • A psychopathic villain who can be similar to Green Goblin.
  • A Terrible Trio! They could dinosaurs like Devil, troublemaking delinquents with powers like the Rowdyruff Boys, three guys similar to Batman's Terrible Trio or a trio of Symbiotes similar to Venom and Carnage. The possibilities are endless!
  • Possible Fourth-Wall Supervillain Breakers like The Beyonder.
  • A vague authority as implied by The Beyonder.

Possible Heroes who could appear in Season 2.
With Season 2 already renewed and announced, they are possibilities on what heroes who could appear in Season 2 of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
  • The Avengers
  • Spider-Man
  • Possible Variants of Moon Girl

Possible future crossover.
Since previous Marvel shows have had a crossover, there are possibilities of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur having a crossover.
  • Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur meeting The Avengers.
  • Spider-Man, because of course an NYC-set show would have them.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur takes place in the MCU.
At the end of "Today I Am A Woman" while Odessa is stuck in a closet, Falcon, comes in to take her while wearing Captain America’s suit.
  • This may hint that Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur takes place in The Marvel Cinematic Universe, which could make sense. Due to how the Avengers have retired and haven't done anything (besides Falcon, Hawkeye, and Hulk).
    • This is complicated, however, with SHIELD having been long shut down by the time Wilson becomes Captain America.

     Season 2

Where did the portal send Lunella?
Possibilities for where Lunella was sent at the end of season one?
  • Devil's world
  • The MCU
  • Devil Girl's world
  • Somewhere between dimensions
  • Another DTVA show
  • The future
  • The past
  • The Negative Zone
  • Battleworld
All jossed, it's another planet.

Possible plots that could happen in Season 2.
The first season has ended with Lunella ended up transported into an unknown universe, with Mimi planning on bringing her back home.

With the second season, there can be possibilities on what kind of plots could happen in the second season.

  • Lunella exploring the unknown universe she was transported to.
  • The MCU Multiverse being explored.
  • Lunella will meet Moon Boy, who reveals that he and Devil were former friends before Devil came to Earth.
  • Lunella's Ship Tease with Brooklyn.
  • Possible Threats who could serve as either the Arc Villain, Big Bad, or Villains of the Week.
  • Lunella's relationship with her parents and grandfather.

Possible Villains who could become the real Big Bad
So far Morlak, despite being the foe to Moon Girl and Mimi, only appears so far as the Big Bad on the Season one finale.

With there being a Season 2 already renewed, there are possibilities on who could serve as the main arch-nemesis to Moon Girl/Lunella.

  • Rachacha
  • Karl Lykos
  • Stegron

  • Well, an AMA from the showrunner/executive producer stated that Molecule Man would be Season 2's Big Bad, and would appear in several episodes of the season.

The Beyonder will accompany Lunella at the start of Season 2
Wherever Lunella was sent to at the end of season 1, the Beyonder will be there to keep her company. He'll openly acknowledge that he could send her back home with his cosmic powers, but he'll happily refuse to do so because he thinks watching Lunella figure it out on her own would be more fun.
  • Likely confirmed, as the premiere is called "The Great Beyond-er!".

Mimi will help Lunella and Devil over course of the season

Well, she has helped Lunella by helping her charged up Aftershock during the first episode of the season currently is helping her take down the monsters.

Now that she and the duo (Devil and Casey) have rescued her. she will start/continue helping out Lunella and Devil take down supervillains that they will encounter.

Which people may find out about Lunella's secret identity

Casey, Mimi, Aftershock, LOS— 307, and presumably Abyss are the only ones who know about Lunella's secret identity as Moon Girl, with the four keeping Lunella's secret to prevent Aftershock from blackmailing her in an attempt to hurt her family.

With Season 2's various plots since the cliffhanger resolved, people who become suspicious or find out about Lunella being Moon Girl could become a plot focus or maybe an arc during the season.

  • Adria Lafayette
  • James Lafayette Jr.
  • Pops Lafayette
  • Eduardo
  • Aanand
  • The Volleyball Team:
    • Brooklyn
    • Tai
    • Fawzia
    • Geri

An Expy of The Proud Family or at least one of them will show up
They were Disney Channel's first Black cast, after all. What better way to honour that?

Alternatively, Lunella's multiversal journey will at one point bring her to TPF's setting, and there will be a crossover with The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder

The Beyonder isn't really stranded, despite what the summaries say
This is the Beyonder we're talking about.

The Rat King will be back
  • Since it is revealed at the end of "Teacher's Pet," that the Rat King survived, it is likely that he will return, and seek revenge on Lunella and Devil.

The Lafayettes will divorce over Moon Girl
Given the Cliffhanger for "The Molecular Level" is Adria revealing she doesn't want Lunella being Moon Girl and the shot of the family photo cracking, this may suggest James (who doesn't so far seem to be in the same mindset) might separate from her, likely taking Lunella with him in the custody rights.

We'll see crossovers/cameos from a couple of past Disney show heroines
Steve Loter could maybe tie up a couple of loose ends he's left behind, such as how Molly and her family are doing without Scratch, if the new successor for Chairman of Ghost World was ever identified, and just what Ron and Kim are now up to in college (ignoring wholly that execrable made-for-TV movie).

Toothgnasher and his master really need to sit down and talk it out.
It's as much a misunderstanding as the other pets' grievances were. Thor misses Toothgnasher deeply, but can't take him back because he's injured and can no longer pull a chariot like he used to. See, in the original Norse mythology, one of the goats became lame after he was slaughtered for food, and a hungry boy inadvertently broke his leg-bone before he could be resurrected whole with Mjølnir. Toothgnasher doesn't talk about it in detail because, frankly, the whole enchanted goat meat business might be a tad much for kids. Forced retirement doesn't suit Toothgnasher, and he's come to resent his old pal...but his godly master had to bench him for his own good—which means Thor sincerely loves his pet, if you put occasionally killing and eating him aside for the moment....
