A new and more dangerous enemy will appear that'd pose a threat to all of humanity and unlike the Gekko, they'd desire world destruction, not world domination. This new threat will force the sworn enemies to work together to defeat it (What good is dominating a dead world? Isn't it sometimes necessary to work with evil to destroy a greater evil?). That'll allow Fudou and Desumi to reveal their relationship to their colleagues (to avoid backlash, they could frame it as an attempt to strengthen the alliance between the two organizations through this relationship not unlike a political marriage between two formerly hostile dynasties, clans and so on (cue both going tomato from thinking about marriage).
- Semi-confirmed with the introduction of the Ultimate Phantom/Monster. Which is a threat to everyone, including Gekko. Though its unknown if it will endanger the entire world.
- In that instance it's toyed with. Fudo and Desumi team up to use the Gelato Claymore on the Phantom, which reduces it back down to a baby's size and frees everyone it ate; after this, Desumi promptly has to turn on Fudo for the cameras... and Bosslar seems more interested in raising the Phantom as an actual baby than a weapon.
- In the manga endinng foreign supervillains attack Japan and prove themselves strong enough to take on the Gelato Five and Gekko. While Desumi manages to come up with the means to take them out, in the aftermath the Gelato Five are absorbed by Gekko to defend Japan from the next wave of foreign supervillains.
Desumi didn’t even want to join Gekko in the first place. Eventually she will call her father out for trying to get reflected glory through her. She sheds the Reaper Princess identity (which didn’t suit her anyway) and become Gelato 6. This would not be unprecedented in the Sentai genre; Tommy Oliver, anyone?
- This would actually be closer to Astronema/Karone.
- This was actually brought up in the manga and anime, and Desumi seriously considered the possiblity. She ultimately refused due to the rule banning fellow Gelato from dating.
- She still could. Given what happened to Daigo when he tried to break them up, it’s pretty certain that she could “convince” whomever she needed to that the policy should be rescinded.
- The use of public identities and the presence of HERO TV are in both.
- Desumi’s Super-Strength might mean she is a NEXT. She specifically has it at all times, instead of only having it when transformed, the way the Gelato 5 do.
Bosslar will announce that he is retiring and choose Desumi as his successor. Desumi has frequently been the best Princess and scored high in evaluations. Bosslar was especially impressed when she refused to become a gorilla and praised her that she didn't need the strength of a beast to be strong. Bosslar is going to retire and pick Desumi as the next Gekko overlord as she is the example of the ultimate evil leader (even though she's really not!).
