WMG / Let It Die

Go To

And You Thought It Was a Game will be in full force.

You're actually controlling a brainwashed test subject to climb the actual Tower of Barbs from the comfort of your local Arcade, via the use of the Death Drive 128.
  • To add to the above
    • In the game, Uncle Death is able to teleport. Who's to say that he can't actually teleport in the 'real world'?
    • One of the radio stations on the radio in the arcade is called South Tokyo Best Hits. And where do we know the Tower of Barbs is?
    • When choosing your first two fighters, the machine above the head of your fighter comes down, as you take control of them.

Tryptamine D technically kills your character multiple times but makes them move to the entrance even as haters.

When your fighter consumes Tryptamine D, they become temporarily immune to all other mind control and have one obsession: get to the bottom of the tower. This involves jumping off buildings and running into powerhouse enemies, but because Death Is Cheap, the fighter can die over and over, turning into a hater that wanders rather than hunts, and always moves towards the Waiting Room until they finally make it back.
