Crossover theory with Naruto
The Kanamemo world is the universe of Naruto before the Sage of the Six paths discovered chakra. Yuuki leaks Killing Intent, when someone or something kindles her jealousy about Yume (Yume is resistant towards her Killing Intent because of frequent exposure) or when a dangerous dog comes her way (the last one happens involuntarily), Kana leaks Killing Intent, when she tried to do a salesman smile. Haruka leaks frequently lolicon-intent, which scares any potential target (Kana, Saki is resistant by overexposure and mental discipline).

Crossover theory with Azumanga Daioh
Yuuki is Sakaki and Yume is Kaori. After the later did grow some backbone and confessed to Yuuki/Sakaki, they started dating and Yuuki/Sakaki fell in love with Yume/Kaori, too and is now really, really possessive of her (radiates Killing Intent, see the WMG above).
  • I came across this picture on danbooru, which would tie in this WMG the following way: after Sakaki did fall in love with Kaorin in return and they made their relationship public (a.k.a. coming-out), some of the students reacted in a really shitty way and started to bully her. Someday, the situation got out of hand and Tomo and this girl stuck with her head in the ceiling hit Kaorin. Sakaki saw that, went totally apeshit (look how protective Yuuki is of Yume) and went postal on them both. Kagura got in her way and get her share, too. After that incident, they changed town and even went so far as to change their names to avoid problems.

Saki is NOT faking being sweet for her classmates.
She is faking being stern and serious for her employees.

Why Aran Smythee's English blows
He may be an American by birth, but he was born in Japan and has lived there ever since, so he is Japanese in everything except his facial features.

Someone stole Saki's body
Someone at the death's door came across the body of a brain-dead girl named Saki (not unlike in X-Men: The Last Stand , where Professor X hijacks the body of the braindead guy from the lecture in the opening scene) and, using magic and/or technology, possessed her body, which is why she seems to be more mature than anyone at the newspaper, because her mind is older than anyone there!

Why Haruka wasn't v& long ago
Haruka is the legal front for manager's newpaper.
