The dryolestids won't make it into the present day.
If the bleak, almost foreshadowing sounding words at the end of Rise of the Dryolestids is to be taken to imply what is to come, then the dryolestids won't make it to the present.
The non-avian dinosaurs (and possibly other lineages) may survive into the Paleocene and perhaps beyond.
Due to the amount of small dinosaurs and pterosaurs lurking around Late Cretaceous Earth, it's posssible that they might squeeze past the K-PG extinction event. Given that the asteroid has already impacted Earth in the Jurassic, the K-Pg extinction event in this timeline will be much milder when compared to our timeline's K-Pg.
The icarusids may be the ancestor to JI Earth's "bats".
Much how we have primate-like multituberculates and cetacean-like dryolestids, it's possible that the icarusid odiodonts may reject a gliding lifestyle in exchange for powered flight.
  • Confirmed: Icarocheirus, an icarusid, is capable of powered flight.
The Taenocaudates may give rise to JI Earth's answer to mosasaurs.
