What happened to Thomas?
- In Tricks For Free, we find out that Mary knows that Thomas isn't dead, she was his advocate with the crossroads, and he traded his future to save Alice's life. Antimony is the grandchild that takes after him and has also made a deal with the crossroads (albeit not as bad so far). Who thinks that Antimony and Alice at some point will team up to find Thomas because Antimony will be the only one who can?
- As of Spelunking Through Hell, Alice finds Thomas, but Antimony is not involved.
Who or what killed Frances?
- All we know about who or what killed her is that it wasn't recognized as a threat by the frickens (or was able to make them act normally), and it killed her before she had a chance to use her weapons. The revelations in Calculated Risks that she was half-Kairos and the Johrlac killed her parents because of that, plus the fact that she and the other Healys killed Heloise and Robert, makes the Johrlac likely suspects, but they may have acted through an intermediary to avoid her immunity to their telepathy. The Crossroads may have also been involved.
What happened to the Tappers' child?
- The Johrlac Robert and Heloise Tapper had a child and were able to successfully leave it as a Doorstop Baby with unsuspecting Muggle Foster Parents before the Healys killed them. Is this missing Johrlac a Red Herring, or could they be one of the ones that appear later in the series? If we assume Everyone Is Related is in effect, Ingrid or Angela are the most likely candidates.
