Katie knew what the speck was from the beginning
- Personally, I have a theory, regarding... KATIE. Whatever she really is, she knew what the speck was from the beginning. After rewatching, she's the only other person in that scene with an 'Oh Crap' look when the speck first floats by. Everyone else is just bewildered at Horton's antics. But she looked like she knew exactly what was going on there. Especially with the last shot being her floating out of the Jungle of Nool and into the Void between all worlds, which are all revealed to look like specks of dust.
- Maybe she's omnipotent.
The Sour Kangaroo's babydaddy is named Rudy Sr.
Because her son is Rudy in the movie and Junior in the cartoon. If his dad's name was Rudy Sr., then he could be both. Morton the Elephant-Bird was named after Morton the Mouse.
- Given the elephant-bird's absence in Horton Hears A Who, it evidently takes place before Horton Hatches the Egg. In other media, it is shown that Horton's elephant-bird son is named Morton. Mice typically have very short lifespans so it's possible Morton the mouse died before the events of Horton Hatches the Egg. Horton probably named his son in memory of him.
