Jean had the deciding vote on whether to bring Madelyne back.
Magneto voted against bringing Madelyne back.
Not because he has anything against her, but because that would mean they would have to bring back Joseph.The Cuckoos are considered test-tube babies.
Single-donor test-tube babies.The Madelyne vote broke down upon these lines:
- Apocalypse: Nay. Resurrecting minor Sinister minions like the Marauders is one thing, but Madelyne is something else entirely.
- Sinister: Aye. No matter what he chose, it would cause the Summers brothers misery. A living Madelyne would provide the maximum chaos.
- Xavier: Aye. Probably believed that Krakoa needed all the powerful mutants it could get, and whatever her many flaws, Madelyne was enormously powerful.
- Magneto: Aye. See Xavier.
- Exodus: Aye. Follows Magneto's lead.
- Jean: Nay. Wary of the potential for confusion, and the chaos a renewed relationship with Havok would cause. One Jean in the Summer House is enough.
- Storm: Nay. Out of loyalty to Jean and probable lingering bitterness over the whole Inferno business.
- Emma Frost: Nay. If she can't lash out at Jean and Scott openly, she'll do it by proxy.
- Nightcrawler: Aye. It seems the Christian thing to do.
- Shaw: Nay. Doesn't care; defaults to no.
- Mystique: Nay. Doesn't care, defaults to no.
- Kitty: Aye. Perhaps some residual fondness for Madelyne.
- Apocalypse may also be opposed to resurrecting clones because that would mean Evan Sabah-Nur would return
Empath will be Killed Off for Real when Hickman's X-Men run ends.
Johnathan Hickman's X-Men has to end eventually and it's likely since Status Quo Is God, The Five will be somehow removed by the end of his run. Since Empath is dying every arc it's likely when it ends they'll kill him off one last time and have it stick.- Jossed. Duggan's X-men is on and Empath is still alive.
Havoc will make a deal with the Locus Ville to bring Madelyn back.
The current arc is about the Locus Ville and Gabby has just been killed in New Mutants, it's likely Gabby's death isn't gonna stick and you can imagine how Havoc would react if he found out the Quite Council approved her resurrection.
