WMG / Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story

Go To

Judy Gardenier is undercover trying to figure out what happened to her brother, Rip Van Winkle Jr.
In the original short story, Judith Van Winkle, Rip's daughter, married and changed her name to Gardenier in the time he was asleep. And James Tolbert's role in the Kickstarter was credited as "Rip Van Winkle Jr.", even though he's only been referred to as Rip Van Winkle in the series proper. With Judy's exaggerated Joisey accent in mind, I think Judy is faking the accent to get close to the mayor and figure out her brother's disappearance.
  • JOSSED. Judy is completely genuine and doesn't appear to be related to Rip Van Winkle in this version.
Lucretia Lazenby is a spy.
She's new to town, she comments in her debut that her "hair has always been this color and length", and Brom comments that Lucretia knows "a lot about foreign policy". In addition, her character poster from the Kickstarter shows wigs in her satchel bag.
  • CONFIRMED in "The Heist in the Hotel".
Spike's birth name is Tom Walker, and his encounter in the woods was with the Devil
Blake Silver was originally cast as Tom Walker in the main series (a character from the Washington Irving story "The Devil and Tom Walker"), but had to be edited out due to the actor being unavailable for filming. He was then cast as Spike in Unsolved Babesteries, who is a remote character. Since it's doubtful that "Spike" is his given name (considering he used to be as preppy as the other Babes and turned emo sometimes during high school), Blake might actually still be playing Tom Walker, just in a different form.
  • Partially JOSSED in "Clip Show" — the encounter was with the Woman in White.
Spike's birth name is not Spike
Considering he didn't become emo until high school and his name sticks out from the other Babes, it is within reason that Spike changed his name to better reflect his "dark soul" when they were in high school. This may have even contributed to his isolation from the Babes.
If Elizabeth is the Woman in White, she could still be freed.
But, how does the curse pass on? If Elizabeth was freed, would someone else have to take her place?
