At least nobody was hurt
Why does Mr. Tipton just casually remark "at least nobody was hurt" after being told bad things that just happened to Ernest (especially after Chief St. Cloud tells him Ernest broke the sign, when it clearly fell onto Ernest)? Considering in
Ernest Rides Again Ernest remarks that he would have been killed long ago if he wasn't so close to being a cartoon character, and the abuse Ernest regularly survives, Tipton likely recognizes that Ernest can survive any injury.
