In the first season, it was actually Peter who painted the dicks
By the end of the season, we never find out for sure who was the vandal who did the dicks. It's heavily suggested it could've been Christa Carlyle, but there's no hard evidence to back it. But what if it was actually Peter Maldonado himself behind the dicks? Let's go through the details of why and how he might've done it, point by point:
  • Motive: A couple of times throughout season 1, we see Peter get really angry at Sam when he suggests Peter's mom is sexy. So clearly he's protective of his mother. Sam lists her among the "hot moms" Coach Rafferty could have dated. This presented as a joke on Sam's part, but what if it was really true? What if Rafferty had an affair with Peter's mom, Peter found about it, and this made him mad enough to vandalise Rafferty's office and write the "stick your dick somewhere else" there? And when Rafferty hushed it up, Peter decided to make a more public display of his anger by painting the dicks. So basically he did what he accused Christa and Mackenzie of doing, for similar reasons.
  • Access: Peter had access to the computer where the security camera files were stored, and he's shown to be computer-savvy, so he was capable of deleting them.
  • Alibi: As far as we know, Peter has no alibi for the time when Rafferty's office was vandalised, nor for when the dicks were painted.
  • Why do the documentary? Peter never intended Dylan or anyone else to take the blame for the dicks, so when Dylan gets suspended, he feels tremendously guilty. However, he doesn't want to confess the crime himself, so he comes up with the idea of doing a documentary series that would exonerate Dylan. He can't do it by himself, so he takes Sam along, but he doesn't want Sam to find out the the truth either, so he keeps on working with the various clues pretending he knows nothing about the case.
  • The red spraypaint: How would Peter have gotten hold of the red spraypaint can if he wasn't at Nana's party? He didn't, as the can is a Red Herring. Whoever painted the dicks was meticulous enough to erase the security footage, so would they really have left the spray can on the site of the crime? No, most likely someone at Nana's party took the spraypaint with the intention of doing some regular graffiti on the school walls or something, but they couldn't get it to work properly (as we see it takes some heavy shaking to the get the can to spray), so they just threw it out. So the janitor finding the can was a total coincidence, but once Peter discovers the can's origin, he realises it can be used to ensure no one finds out he was guilty (as he wasn't at Nana's party), so he runs with the theory that it's the correct can.
  • Why imply Christa did it? Originally, Peter started doing the documentary series just to exonerate Dylan, so that he wouldn't be charged for something he didn't do. But as the series becomes a surprise Internet hit, Peter realises that merely proving Dylan innocent isn't enough: the series won't have a proper narrative closure unless the true culprit is revealed. But obviously Peter doesn't want anyone else to go to court for his crimes either. Then he discovers Christa had a legitimate reason to hate Coach Rafferty, and that she filed the complaint against him. So he decides to end the series with hinting Christa might have done it, but at the same time saying there's not enough evidence to prove that, and that his theory might still be wrong. Since Christa has already graduated and started college, Peter's theory can't really harm her without any physical evidence, and by revealing the reasons why Christa might've hated Rafferty, Peter portrays her in a sympathetic light, making her supposed crime seem understandable. So this way Peter gets to have a decent narrative closure for American Vandal without doing any lasting harm for his fellow students.
  • But what about Christa's CPR training? Peter uses the fact that Christa asked someone else to do CPR on Ming as proof that her alibi was faked. But in real life, in a situation like that, it's common for people who are not medical professionals to panic and forget what they've learned, not to mention that Christa was also drunk. So her panic and inebriation either made her forgot how to perform CPR, or she didn't feel confident enough she could do it properly, so she asked if anyone else could do it.

Ganj had a thing for Dylan.
All of the Wayback Boys hate Mackenzie, but Ganj's hatred seems to run the deepest. She claims it's from their time on the JV basketball team together, but when pressed for specifics, her reasoning always comes back to, "She just sucks." That sounds pretty similar to Sam's inexplicable hatred of Brandon. She's also the first one to rush over to greet Dylan both when he returns to school and when he arrives at the prom after party.

Tanner didn't report Kevin to the police to stop the Turd Burglar. It was revenge for thwarting his Relationship Ugrade with Chloe
When Tanner reports Kevin to the police as the Turd Burglar, it's eventually implied that he did it because he resented Kevin for calling the police onto Skip Day. Further investigation shows him and Chloe making out in the background... with the implication that he really held a grudge against Kevin for the cops interrupting that. Why would he hold a grudge about that? Surely it was just continued later... unless that didn't happen. Presumably, Chloe and Tanner weren't actually dating behind Kevin's back; they had a spontaneous makeout session during Skip Day (possible fuelled by a lot of alcohol) which was interrupted by the cops arriving. Afterward, however, Chloe regarded it as a mistake and went back to Just Friends with Tanner. Tanner reported Kevin to the cops as revenge. Later, however, he sees the effects his actions had on both Kevin and Chloe and realises that he totally overreacted, (especially after it's discovered who actually called the cops) which is why he apologises to Kevin later and repairs their friendship.

Ten years or so in the future Demarcus's basketball clinic will produce a star athlete, and Demarcus will become an acclaimed coach
At the end of season 2, Demarcus sets up and teaches a free basketball clinic in his lower-class neighbourhood to fufill his community service sentence. In footage of the clinic, all the kids are loving it, (as is Demarcus). Several years down the road, at least one (possibly several) of those kids will become star players themselves, who give credit to Demarcus and his clinic for helping them get started. As to the second part, running the clinic reveals to Demarcus that he not only has a talent for coaching, he really enjoys it. So when his professional career ends, Demarcus goes into coaching... and is all the better for it because of his season 2 experiences, which have really hammered home to him the potential pitfalls for star athletes, on whatever scale, which leads him to helping his players avoid them.

Sam and Gabi will get a Relationship Upgrade as adults
In a season 2 Freeze-Frame Bonus, Peter's laptop reveals he's still in regular communication with Gabi - and if Peter is, Sam certainly is. However, two years age difference can be a big deal as a teenager, especially when one person is in college and one in high school. Gabi values Sam too much to wreck their friendship over a teenage romance (especially since she dumped her boyfriend right before senior prom over his cheating), so resolves to stay Just Friends until they're mature enough for their connection to survive a breakup, if necessary. At some point, Gabi sees their chemistry too and she and Sam become a couple.

In Season Two, the Turd Burglar was intentionally trying to frame Demarcus
  • This is why all four Turd Burglar crimes were committed in places where either Demarcus or his best friend had free-reign in. For instance Grayson is confirmed to have viewed his former classmates’ social media posts and could have easily seen Demarcus’ videos in the cafeteria. Grayson harbored a lot of resentment towards his classmates and in particular the basketball players. While Demarcus did commit the piñata prank, the intent was to frame him as the one behind them all.
