• Q is neither male or female, instead being genderqueer identifying with both male and female and are also bisexual. Every other character that we know about reacts with some disgust to their new bodies (Maybel is disgusted by having a penis, Steven strongly dislikes being a woman). Q and Quinn are female and male respectively but are alts and are the same person before the series begin. Neither seems to react with any signs of dysphoria to their new bodies save for the fact that they're not new bodies. Neither of them seem to be put off but simply accept their new body/sex (although one is not accepting a new sex by default). In addition, Q and Quinn also have sex together with both seeming to enjoy the experience - neither is repulsed by sleeping with somebody of the opposite gender pointing towards somebody who was attracted to both genders.

• Maybel is still alive in another form. They mentioned they began playing as a male gnome to ward off unwanted sexual advances which implies they had other accounts. And since multiple accounts means there's multiple of you for each alt - there's probably at least one other Maybel running around - probably an actually biologically female Mabel.

• The world the main characters come from is NOT our world. In "ERP," Quinn throws the idea around to his alt Q of bringing their daughter to this world instead of going back saying they'd be away "from fear, from war." The game world is plenty dangerous compared to the real world especially for a child so maybe the world the characters come from is terrible or on the brink of something compared to this one.
