(Seriously, who around here looks the most kissable...?)
First Kiss at a Spooky Soiree is a Visual Novel created by NomnomNami for Yuri Game Jam 2016. You play as Marzipan, a light witch who is very anxious about the fact that she has never kissed anybody in her life, so she allows her friend Jam to drag her to a party in the hopes of finding someone for her to kiss.

The game is available here.

Tropes in First Kiss at a Spooky Soiree:

  • Ambiguous Gender: The Moth Servant's gender and pronouns go completely unmentioned in the game. Despite going by the gender-neutral title of "servant", the art collection suggests that they are actually a maid.
  • Bland-Name Product: Marzipan and Baezel's favorite video game is called Demon's Gaea, huh?
  • Cute Witch: Marzipan is a sweet girl who can use magic to create beautiful light shows and Instant Cosplay Surprises.
  • Edible Theme Naming: As is tradition for stories set in NomnomNami's universe. This game features characters named Marzipan, Jam, Poffin, Strudel, Vinegar, Baezel, and Chirval.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: Both the shy Baezel and the skittish Moth Servant sport eye-covering bangs. Chirval has them as well, but in terms of personality he is the total opposite of the other two.
  • First Kiss: The game is all about Marzipan coming out of her shell and trying to kiss somebody for the first time.
  • Furry Reminder: Strudel is a dog girl who likes chewing on bones, while Poffin is a moth girl who likes bright lights (and, according to supplementary material, eating socks).
  • Genki Girl: Strudel, the excitable dog girl who eagerly drags Marzipan away from the party to help her look for a bone to chew on.
  • Mistaken for Romance: While this trope comes up in several paths, it causes the most awkwardness in the "Retreat to the snack table" path, where Jam invites several people to chat with Marzipan, but none of them seem interested for some reason... and Strudel reveals that everyone thought Marzipan and Jam were dating.
  • Multiple Endings: There are eight endings where Marzipan gets her kiss, and two Downer Endings where she gives up and leaves.
  • No Antagonist: The conflict is Marzipan trying to find someone to kiss at the titular Soiree, with no antagonists whatsoever.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: In one path, Marzipan meets Periwinkle, a witch boy who likes to wear makeup and beautiful dresses. In another path, Marzipan helps Baezel boost his confidence by having him cosplay as his favorite video game heroine.
