The simulator where fish bite like crazy!
Ultimate Fishing Simulator is a fishing Simulation Game developed by Bit Golem and Published by Ultimate Games S.A. and released on August 18, 2018.

The game allows the player to take to the water in several real-life lakes from around the world and, unlike previous fishing games, also includes ocean fishing and ice fishing. The game also includes different modes, with a normal mode that gives faster gameplay and a more realistic mode. In addition to the in-game areas, the game includes a level creator to allow the player to make their own environment and fill it with whatever fish they want. The game also features a Trophy Room to display caught fish and real-life SAKURA fishing equipment.

A sequel is in development for a 2022 release which adds more maps, the ability to play in any season, and gives AI to the fish you catch making them easier or harder to catch.

This game fishes for the following tropes:

  • Acceptable Breaks from Reality: Normal Mode has the player encounter fish on a regular basis and fish almost never break the line or get away.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: "Normal Mode" speeds up the gameplay by making fish appear more frequently and makes it so they almost never get away.
  • Gotta Catch 'Em All: The player's main goal is to catch at least one of every species of fish in the game.
  • Level Editor: The game features a level creator so the player can create their own fishing environment.
  • Product Placement: The fishing rods and reels in the game are from SAKURA.
  • Unexpectedly Realistic Gameplay: If the game is played in Realistic Mode, then the player may have trouble finding fish and fish may occasionally get away from the player.
