Tropical Angel is an Arcade Game by Irem that was released in 1983. You play as a female water-skier who has to get to the end of each course while avoiding rocks and sharks. There are also ramps to jump from and buoys that grant bonus points if you can ski between them. During gameplay, you can make her turn around for additional points, but this also makes it impossible to control her.
This game provides examples of:
- Attract Mode: There's a demo mode that shows the regular gameplay that ends in a failure.
- Bonus Stage: There are bonus stages where you have to either jump off ramps or slalom between flags.
- Ms. Fanservice: The player character is a curvy lady in a red bikini who's visible from the back during normal gameplay or the front posing if the player prefers to take a risk for extra points.
- Non-Standard Game Over: Normally the game ends by running out of time, but getting hit by the shark results in a game over no matter how much time you have left.
- Smooch of Victory: Passing the master class leads to the girl giving you a congratulatory kiss, complete with an icon.
- Timed Mission: You have a limited amount of time to beat each test. Colliding into a rock leads to the girl going back to the last checkpoint and wasting time.
- A Winner Is You: The ending screen shows the girl lying on a beach and giving you a kiss according to the description.
