The mysteries of Gensokyo... with familiar faces and situations!
Touhou Genso Wanderer -FORESIGHT- is a Roguelike game in the style of games such as Shiren the Wanderer (in case the title didn't give it away) or Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, much like Touhou Genso Wanderer and Touhou Genso Wanderer -Lotus Labyrinth- before it, being yet another entry in the formerly Japan-only Fushigi no Gensokyo series, and thus, is a Touhou Project fan game. It is slated for release on May 15th 2024.According to the synopsis, shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei loses a battle and passes out somewhere, and wakes back up at the Hakurei Shrine, unable to remember what led up to the lost battle to begin with. Around this time, various incidents start occuring, so she sets out alongside her best friend, the magician Marisa Kirisame, to resolve them. Some of these incidents happen to be repeats of past incident that Reimu has already resolved in the past, to boot.
Tropes:
- Non-Player Companion: So far, only Reimu Hakurei has been confirmed to be playable, though there have been four characters confirmed to be selectable partners: Marisa Kirisame, Sakuya Izayoi, Youmu Konpaku and Reisen Udongein Inaba.
- Skill Scores and Perks: By meeting the various residents of Gensokyo, Reimu gains access to various skill trees that grant her passive benefits, though these require a currency to unlock.
